Champion Olympic Grip Plate

This 2.5lb plate saved my life. I no longer have to wander around my gym, wasting time, getting mad at people for using 2.5s on a leg press and then going to jail for assault. I didn't weigh them for accuracy, but they felt legit.

I like the design and style of these Champion Olympic grip plates and have purchased a dozen of them in varying weights. While they are true to scale give or take ~ 1/2 a pound, the finish is extremely inconsistent from one to another with varying degrees of smoothness of the plate itself and varying shades of gray in the paint. Roughly every fourth one has a hideous odor too, one that takes a few weeks to fade away. I'm guessing that means they were not cured correctly before shipping. Regardless, if they were all at the same quality level as the best ones I'd give them a solid 5, but due to significant fluctuations from weight to weight I have to give them a 3.

Good looking plates and nothing outstanding I saw. I was worried about ordering them since I saw some bad reviews but these came in perfect condition.

I ordered four of these each in 10 & 2.5 pound plates. Received them all in great condition except for a couple of the 2.5's which arrived chipped (see pic). No issues with burrs on the inside where the plates slide onto the bar. I weighed them all with a digital luggage scale, and they were 10.0 - 10.4 and 2.5 - 2.7 respectively. For this price I find that to be more than adequate. As far the finish goes, they were fine with the exception of maybe some sloppy silver paint and the few ugly chips as noted. But honestly, I use these to lift not to look at!

I bought a pair of 45lb plates. They appear to have an accurate 45.2 lb weight (put on digital scale). The diameter is a tad over 17.5 (440mm) inches making this just short of the standard of 450MM (17.71 inches). Hand holes are clean and free of burs. These are to replace a very cheap pair of 45lbs pates,. These are a good mid value set, but would have preferred to stay at $1 per pound.

I heard that some people lift these on the end of big bars for fun, exercise and competition. That seems a silly use for these utility weights.I use it as ballast for a microphone stand that holds a video camera on-stage. It's great for that because the large center hole fits over the clutch and the weight just sits at the base, adding an extra 10-pounds of stability. I can also use it as a boom counter-weight with a velcro strap when holding lights with attached modifiers.

These weigh 10 pounds, and will certainly help my weight bar and gravity to build my muscle. Came very quickly. The only ding I would give is to Amazon for combining a book order with these weights, which could have broken the spine.They are good for squats, deadlifts, bench press, and whatever other exercise you might get.I dunno, it's hard to screw up weights. :D

We bought the Champion Olympic Grip Plate weight when my husband started to lift weights. These weights are exactly like they are described in the description. They are very easy to grip even when you have sweaty hands. They have a good snuff and tight fit on the bar. The weights of the weights are true to the description. They are very well made and are of great quality. I defiantly would recommend the Champion Olympic Grip Plate weight.

Este disco de 2.5lb queda perfectamente en barra olimpica. El precio esta muy accesible. Para aquellas personas que ya levantan mucho peso y el gym no tiene discos realmente pequeños.

Son buenos discos para barra olímpica a buen precio, cumplen su función a la perfección, para esos gimnasios comerciales que no tienen discos de este tamaño. El acabado no es el mejor, sin embargo es metal, así que por la durabilidad ni te preocupes, quedan un poco flojos en la barra, pero eso no afecta en nada

Terminado duradero, sin bordes filosos, entra perfectamente en barras olímpicas. No se puede decir más de un pedazo de metal que tiene una forma conveniente. Recomendado.
