I’ve had severe back pain for years. Many years ago I broke my back in 4 places training a horse I didn’t have the skills for. They were called “rodeo breaks” and never healed. Bone pieces are moving when I move. I’ve been deteriorating for years: arthritis, bone spurs, stenosis, and the list goes on. I got a back brace from my doctor that cost $1,000+. There is a large metal piece in the back of the expensive one. It keeps your back from “going out.” But you can’t wear it non-stop. Not for sleeping, or for wearing for hours and hours. It is for crisis mode. Over 20 years ago, my husbands bought me a horseback riding back brace by John Lyons. I wore it when trail riding. The John Lyons brace finally wore out (20+ years old). I tried to find one to replace it. John Lyons is retired. They had quit selling the It was tell you how it feels. And it feels amazing. People who struggle with constant back pain know the struggle to find something to manage it. We’ve figured out that there is not going to be a “one-off” cure. This brace has changed my life for the better. It is the perfect balance of support and comfort. I even fell asleep in it. I’m wearing it for many hours a day. It fits really well and can be adjusted for the perfect fit. Some days I seem to be a different size. I can make it snug or take out the extra comfort piece if I want a looser fit. I highly recommend this brace. If you need a back brace to supplement your spinal needs, this is the one. Not shabby like some are. The straps are a bit confusing at first. But me understanding them is not a requirement. Also, this brace is a reasonable price. Far below the $1,000+ of the one I got from a med supply with a prescription for it. This is affordable and can be paid for out of your FSA “bucket.” This won’t cure your back pain. But it will be a tool to use to get through your days comfortably. If you hit one of those periods of time when every single thing hurts and spasms, you can use this brace when you step down from the metal one. This is not a torture device. Kudos to those who invented it. If you aren’t very far along in your back pain journey, this brace is awesome. It may help you survive the times when your back suddenly has opinions and refuses the smallest movements. If you are like me and searching endlessly for things that can help, this is the brace for you. Promise.

After 2 falls I suffer from inflammation in my lower lumbar of my back. I get injections every 3 months but they don’t work 100%. When I began working a part-time job where I was active on my feet 6-8 hours a day the pain in my back become extreme. I found this back brace & it’s amazing for me! I’ve been using it for over a month now. I ordered a medium/large. I’m a female, 160lbs. My pictures reflect what it looks like on me & then the brace alone. It offers GREAT support, more than what I was expecting. My pain doesn’t exist when I wear this at my job. The sizing was perfect for my body. I usually wear it under my shirt so the fit is a bit tighter than what you see in my pictures. The brace itself was designed wonderfully. The material is soft & comfortable to wear on bare skin. The velcro that attaches the main portion together is durable & stays in place! There’s no movement whatsoever once it’s on. There is a smaller material lining with velcro attached which really tightens up the main portion. It does push up extra weight I have on my belly but it’s not uncomfortable. I LOVE the back as truly it’s where the support lies. The picture of the back shows the genuine quality of what’s relieving the pain that is normally there. There are 4 steel bars, 2 of which can be removed. I keep all 4 in. There’s also an insert that is attached when I first received it. I provides more cushion if you so desire it. It’s removable as my picture shows. A genuine quality back brace which is designed to offer the fullest relief possible. Without this after 1 hour I wouldn’t be able to stand. Now I work a 6 hour shift with no pain whatsoever. This speaks volumes. I hope my experience & pictures have been helpful to you. I’m very passionate about this brace because it truly changed my life. It allowed me to do something my body normally wouldn’t allow me to do. I highly recommend it! The back support is as described. It is comfortable to wear all day if needed. While giving me extra support and allowing me to heal after surgery 5 mos ago. Movement is easy allowing skin to breathe. I like because it allows me to exercise with no restrictions. ( Walking, biking, cleaning, even taking a nap). I do not wear all the time, just when I think it is needed when I may do something taxing for the added support while my back heals. I didn't give it 5 stars because I do not how it will hold after a while and washing.

After trying several back braces, this one is the best. You can really feel the support - I love it.

I like this brace; it has lots of support. But for a short woman, it is just too big (too long). Would appreciate different sizes for women and for men.

I like that it has the perfect amount of Lower back and, abdominal support. I like that the Velcro binding is strong and supportive and, it fits my size 0-2 waist size. I like that I can make it tighter or looser depending on what I'm doing. I received it 6 days after post-operative Low back surgery (Lumbar 5-Sacral1). I have 3 incisions 2 on my lower back and 1 on my lower abdomen. As soon as I put this brace on it was like a God Send! Immediate relief of post-op incisional discomfort. The brace SUPPORT helps me to maintain Sternal Precautions which, IS my doctor's Order I am required to follow if I wanted my spine to heal correctly. I wear my brace every day. I wear it while riding my upright bicycle, when I go on walks,& to do chores around the house. I like that you can remove the padded liner and 2 of the 4 steel support posts can be removed to clean & disinfect the brace after wearing it during exercise.

I had a botched lumbar laminectomy in December of 2019. Mid January I had to have a CSF leak surgically repaired. Then, in April of 2020 I had to have a lumbar spinal fusion. If I thought I had back pain prior to the laminectomy in December, I was in for a real shock by the end of April! I wore the prescribed back support brace after the fusion surgery. And, eventually, I chose to buy a Copper Fit brace locally. It worked good. But, the stress of the back surgeries has caused me to lose more than 20 pounds and the Copper Fit was becoming too big for me. I ordered this brace and it arrived today. It is AMAZING!! Honestly, this is the first time I've felt like my lower back was truly supported. And, for the record, I will be sleeping in this brace (as I did the Copper Fit) and I am positive that it will absolutely alleviate some of the back pain to allow me to get some decent sleep. I highly recommend this brace. And, I would also recommend that you automatically plan to wear a lightweight t-shirt underneath of it so you don't have to worry about sweating and getting the brace dirty :o)

I've been having back pain for weeks that no amount of NSAIDs, stretching, or heating pads was helping and I'd been too busy with a family emergency to make an appointment to be seen for it. Sitting, standing, laying down; always paining me, different positions didn't alleviate it. I couldn't sit for 10 minutes without having to stand up so my back wouldn't pain me as much (which was disrupting my work flow), and it was difficult sleeping at night because every sleep position was painful. I ordered this back brace (I could feel the pain both in the lumbar and sacral regions of my back) and received it yesterday, and oh my goodness, FINALLY! The pain is gone, all I feel is a tiny bit of soreness in the areas that had before been excruciating. I could sit, walk, and bend comfortably. I removed it for bed, but my back was feeling okay after having worn it for 4 hours prior to bed, and woke this morning refreshed (for the first time in almost a month). I'm wearing it now at work, and sitting isn't painful. Loving it!

I had back surgery a year ago and have found this extremely comfortable to wear to provide support as I do housework, sit at my desk, or as a simple reminder to straighten lower back … I tried several, some far too stiff with the metal corset things, some cheap and with unreliable Velcro … this one has been perfect, not overly restricting or uncomfortable at all.
