I've never seen a reed diffuser set for the car, just the home, as the open bottle of liquid with sticks poking out doesn't seem conducive to a car environment. No concern here, as the bottle has just a few openings large enough for the short reeds to protrude from. Then, there is a plastic cap that covers the top of the bottle and reeds so you don't poke yourself with the sticks. Pretty simple but smart design. The melon scent is pretty spot on, but it's pleasant and just a little sweet. I appreciate that the scent isn't too overpowering, as that could give you a headache in a small car environment. I've been pleased with this product.

I'm not sure what scent other people received but the blue bottle i got smells so good! I've had many different reed diffusers and the smell is only strong if you're close to it. But I can smell this as soon as I enter the living room, it's on an end table. It did come in packaging with a lot of Chinese writing, but so many things on Amazon come with different languages. As long as the product works, I could care less! And it does say "car air freshener", I know some have commented on it not being a car air freshener. But it could be, the size is perfect for a cup holder. Given how strong the smell is, it may be too much for some people in a car. But if you smoke or have odors in your car, this would definitely make it smell really good. It has a nice clean, flowert smell to it. I really like it and not sure why others don't, unless they ordered a different scent. Works great for me and I'd highly recommend it! Even my husband asked what smells so good and he never pays attention to stuff like that.
