Great Purchase
Bought this after years of having a normal jug. More people living here now, it needed refilling so often that it was never cold. Thought I'd go all in and buy one of these. Been great, does the same job as the jug but with much more capacity. Can easily get a couple of days out of one fill. Nice and easy to fill with the large opening in the top. Actually using my old jug as the thing to fill it up in my fridge without removing it. Filters are the same as the usual ones so they last a little less time since they're filtering more water but they're easily replaced and can be bought fairly cheaply. I do like that this uses the normal filters and not different ones specifically for this. The tap works well too. Would recommend.

I am using this at my home over a year and very happy about it
Honestly I wasn’t expecting such big difference in taste but wow, this made my tap water so much better. I used to buy bottled water just for the flavour but now I don’t need it anymore. The chlorine smell is gone completely and tea tastes cleaner now. I drink more water because it just tastes nicer somehow, kind of softer if that makes sense? Also I love that it's reducing PFAS and other nasty stuff. I had no idea that was even in my water before. It’s comforting to know it’s being filtered out. I’m in a hard water area and my kettle always got white powder in the bottom before but now it’s staying clean longer. Only small problem I had is that once I forgot to soak the cartridge properly before using and first glass tasted a bit weird. So don’t skip that part! But after that no issue at all. I will keep using these and already told my mum to get them too. Not the cheapest but worth it in my opinion.

Holds 5.2 Litres of cool filtered water - easy to fill and easy pour - no dripping
This was on offer for £40.99 and though still expensive enough compared to jug & filter offers i had to consider the fact that we are filling the jug numerous times each day as we both draw from it for gym etc. The only reason I decided to purchase this was to avail of 5.2 litres of filtered water as opposed to 1 or 2 litres at at time. The unit in total holds 8.2 litres so 3 litres can fit in the top for filter process. It’s very easy to slide open the slot and pour in the water - honestly tho it’s a pleasure to pour cool filtered water from the tap and despite me placing a spill cloth there hasn’t been a need. I was concerned that it might take up too much fridge space but it hasn’t and if needs be for winter months the tank can be moved to a place in the kitchen. Considering the cost of bottled water this is a great option. I’m watching Amazon for filter deals 😜 💦 I’m very happy with this product 🙌 💕

This will take up a lot of room in your fridge
This beast is huge which is what I wanted. I don't use it in a fridge, it's sat on my bedside table. I think after a big shop it would take up too much room in there but I didn't want it for that anyway. The colour of a cup after a cup of tea made from this water highlights that the filter works really well. The lime that the tanin stain sticks to is almost totally gone and it does taste a lot nicer (and I'm a bit of a heathen to be honest and am not that fussy) The only downside is the shape of the filter itself. When you pour water into it when it's empty it's hard not to hit the filter in the middle and the shape of the filter is like a ski slope that sprays the pouring water back up in all directions including over the sides. The tap handle also snaps back with startling ferocity when you turn off the flow. I think that might be a feature as if you don't let it snap back into place (ie just move it back holding it) then it tends to drip a little with water left in the spout past the closing mechanism. The snapping jolt clears that when it closes. While you can carry this back and forth to a tap it is easier to just fill a bottle of water and refill this where you keep it. It's a bit cumbersome to carry about full. To summarise, it's big and it works. I just hope it doesn't eat filters too quickly as they are pricey.

Brilliant product
I got fed up with using a regular sized water filter jug since there is never enough water in it to fill the kettle, pet bowls, saucepan, fish tank, etc. Every time I wanted water I had to wait whilst it filtered enough. I invested in the bigger one so that I can fill stuff up without having to wait 2 minutes a time to filter enough water & now we always have plenty on tap (pun not intended) when we need it. The unit sits on the cupboard and is easy to use. The tap doesn't leak nor drip. The only complaint I have is the tap could have done with sticking out a fraction more as I have to move the unit so it's slightly overlapping the edge so I can get the jug or whatever under it, but its no biggie, just an observation. The unit itself holds what feels like about 9 litres of water. I keep the top section topped up as then it feeds down to the bottom as it empties. There is also a convenient filling hole in the lid - simply slide the blue section in the lid, containing the filter counter, back & it has a hole big enough to allow for easy following without having to remove the entire lid. Easy to use, fits regular sized filter cartridges & has a counter on the top which counts down to changing the filter. Brilliant item, so glad I got it as now I don't have to keep filling 2 litre bottles just to ensure we have a stock of water for everything.

Full marks, but only because it was on sale. The full price is utter insanity.
I have two BRITA Marella XL water filter jugs. The reason why! I have two jugs, is because there was no way on planet Earth that I was going to pay nearly £60 for the BRITA Flow XXL fridge water filter tank. Luckily, before my house became over-run with filter jugs, BRITA have seen the light and are now selling the fridge tank for a sensible price, and it is brilliant. The design has been well thought out, from the recessed dispensing tap, to the sliding refill door in the lid. The tank is heavy when full, so the sliding fill door means it can just sit on one of the lower fridge shelves and be topped up with a jug, and we all know I have plenty of those. The tank also uses the same maxtra + filters as the BRITA jugs, and you can pick those up in bulk packs quite reasonably. If anyone is thinking about getting a means of filtering their water, and live in a hard water area, they do make a massive difference, both to the quality of your hot drinks, and the descaling interval of your kettles and coffee machines.

Best purchase I have made in a while!!!
Week after week I struggled as I tried to jam all of the empty bottles of water into my recycling bin, knowing that only roughly 10% of our plastic is recycled in the UK this was just bothering me more and more. I hate tap water so knew that wouldn't be a good solution, I also drink a lot of water so the jugs Brita offer would just be forever getting refilled, then finally I found this. I was sceptical at first having drank bottled water my whole life and been so fussy over it but then I read the reviews and finally made the decision to buy one. First things first, it does taste different to bottled water but after just one glass I was already used to the taste of it. I even compared it to the taste of tap water which I immediately spat out. It really does change the flavour and in absolutely no time you will be used to the taste in fact Ive come to find it so refreshing, I now find it a little weird when I taste bottled water again. Changing the filter is very easy and it does last a descent amount of time. I do hate the amount of water you have to waste when breaking In the filter but I suppose there isn't much they can do about it. The little tap is so easy to use and it definitely encourages the none water drinkers to drink a little more water. Cleaning the jug is very easy and though the filters may seem expensive they last you a long time and far reduce the cost if you were buying bottled water all the time. So to sum up: - Great way of reducing plastic waste (my recycling bin has never gotten full since) - Saves all those annoying trips to the shops and carrying heavy cases of water - Tastes just as good as bottled water - The little tap makes it so easy to quickly grab a drink of water. - As long as you have a stock of filters, you'll never be out of water. Overall, I absolutely love this thing. For years I have been a total water snob and never thought I could replace my bottles but I finally have, so you can too! You wont regret it. Side note - you will be washing a lot more glasses than youre used to..

Works as expected.
10/10, works as advertised. Replaced all our bottles in the fridge, easily refillable and the tap sits just over the edge to fill my mug.

After more than 1 year of use, still shining...
I recently acquired the BRITA Flow filter water dispenser unit, and its simplicity combined with effectiveness truly impressed me. Here's why I find it noteworthy: 1. No-Frills Operation: What sets the BRITA unit apart is its no-nonsense design. There are no complicated electronics or extensive piping – just a straightforward solution for cleaner water. 2. Easy Setup: Installation was a breeze. Without the need for electrical connections or intricate plumbing, I had the unit up and running in no time. Perfect for those who want a hassle-free setup. 3. Compact and Space-Saving: The compact design is a winner. It easily fits under the sink without taking up much space. It's a great choice for anyone with limited room or those who prefer a minimalist approach. 4. Remarkable Water Quality: Despite its simplicity, the BRITA Water Refinery Unit delivers on water quality. The taste is noticeably improved, and I appreciate the peace of mind that comes with knowing I'm getting cleaner water without unnecessary complications. 5. Low Maintenance: One of the best aspects is the low maintenance. Without complex filters or electronics to worry about, keeping the unit in top shape is a breeze. It's a set-and-forget solution for quality water. In conclusion, the BRITA Water Refinery Unit is a fantastic option for those seeking a simple yet effective solution for cleaner water. If you appreciate efficiency without unnecessary bells and whistles, this unit is a solid choice. The price of filter is about 8 Euro in Belgium, and 1 filter per month for 3-person family is enough for drinking, tea, coffee.
