Very good product.
I was pleased and shocked to see just how big it was out of the box. So much osace that I actually have a chance to transplant and make seedlings for copys of my herbs. I'll have herbs out the wazzoo here in a few weeks! Hangs perfectly fine from some hooks I had on the eve of my porch. I do recommend that you hand from all the grommets if you plan to use every single pocket. It does state that it can rip if hung incorrectly. Right now I only have 2 pockets on the bottom filled and the top is the only part attached to any hooks. If I add more, I'll probably add some string and do an anchor so it'll divide the weight evenly. The felt is super thick and durable feeling, I'd definitely say this will last a few good seasons. Looking at other products as well. Definitely recommend.

Great planter
We were able to make several wall planters out of this. Sturdy material. Pockets are plenty big and wide to allow for larger plants or room to grow. I was able to put a few plants in each pocket. I love it!

Vertical garden at a reasonable price
I hung the planter on a wall in an atrium. It was important to follow the instructions: 1. Must use all the top row of 5 lugs and at least some of the side and bottom lugs to hang it since it is very heavy when filled with soil and plants; water will add more weight. 2) It is relatively easy to plant if you start planting from the bottom row and work your way up to the top row after hanging the planter on the wall. Don't know how long the planter will last (durability); but it is made well and is sturdy. Overall it is a good value product for the money.

Plant Bottom to Top
So far this is a good vertical planter and I used mine for strawberries. A word of advice, fill the plants bottom to top instead of top to bottom, it’s much easier. It is a felt like material but it does seem thick and of quality. For the price I think it was a good investment. I used vinyl siding clips to fasten it. The planter didn’t seem to be super heavy even when watered. The vinyl clips hold 12lbs each and I used 5 across the top. Crossing fingers I don’t find strawberry plants on the ground. Time will tell.

Choose a shady location or succulents & use high quality soil
Messed up three ways: number one mistake was planting it in full sun. Number two mistake was using Kellogg's potting soil. Number three mistake was not realizing the detrimental impact the black felt would have on moisture retention. Photo taken at midnight and my camera flash isn't working. I'm not happy with this BUT it has as much to do with my soil choice as the hanging planter. However the black felt does SIGNIFICANTLY impact the soil's ability to retain water. I planted vincas. The hanging planter is securely affixed to an interior fence so the people talking about it falling down I think it did not secure it properly in the first place. I do expect with the ridiculous amount of watering necessary, that it will fall apart before the fall comes but that is speculation. So far all of the seams are holding. BUT ... Need to water three times a day and we completely saturate the soil each time. We live in Central California and it hasn't even gotten hot yet. The black felt is NOT a good material unless you are perhaps using this for succulents or put it in the shade maybe with impatiens. The water, in full sun, is completely evaporated within 4 to 5 hours. I use a moisture meter and it will register wet after watering and 3 hours later it is barely on damp or even dry. By the time we water again, usually 5 hours in between, sometimes six, it's on dry. I did use Kellogg's potting soil which is something I would never buy again. It is more like potting wood and I have noticed that all of my potted plants are requiring more water with this so-called soil so I'm sure that has something to do with the never-ending need for water. Even though we water on a low flow there is a lot of soil wash out and I have had to add soil to the exposed roots three times. Started the vincas from pony packs about 6 weeks ago and they still look like they just came out of the pony packs about a week ago. As I'm replenishing the soil I am using miracle grow but that miracle grow is also what will wash out with watering. So I am considering taking out every single plant, discarding the Kellogg's and replanting with miracle grow. New soil should ameliorate a rather difficult situation. If there was ever a time to pay attention to the directions to make sure the soil is wet before planting anything this hanging planter is the time. I know many people don't bother with that step of getting the soil wet before they plant but I am virtually certain the plants would have all died if we had not done that. As it is I have had to replace three plants that died overnight. Anyone reading this who thinks I'm over watering and that's why I'm losing plants will just need to buy one for him or herself, make the same soil and full sun placement mistakes that I did and you will find out that I'm not over watering. Simple vertical garden
These were super simple to install with small picture hangers and zip ties. They seem durable - nearly two months later (rain, cold, wind and heat) and they look like new. I planted lettuce, mustard greens, etc seedlings - the plants did well but I’d say the pockets are just a little small for growing full size greens - mine will be baby greens! Also - dark felt means soil dries out in hot direct sun, so place these accordingly and water enough.

Great product!
I bought 4 of these to use on the fence in my small back yard. They are well made and make for a beautiful display of flowering plants and shallow root veggies. Love them! Note that once filled and watered, they do get very heavy so be sure to use hooks on all the grommets, especially those on the top.

It’s okay
4 stars because it really didn’t wow me like I thought it would. In the pic it shows that you can have plants in every pocket. But upon receiving and getting it set up, like any experienced gardener (not me) will know that you really can’t get plants in every single pocket. I bought it thinking I could, got a bunch of plant super excited to put them in and have a flower wall. But the flowers were cramped and crowded and it was not working. The pockets are very big and the quality does seem very good though. If you’re growing a garden or like flowers or plants that just die off and don’t come back, it’s a better idea. However getting it to put the plants that come back every year, it can get very heavy for transporting. Having to take it in and out for the winter and spring seasons.
