Review: A great value and perfect match for RV's - These are very good solar panels for RVs. An RV roof is busy with vents, AC units, and shade trees that cast shade on panels. The ShadowFlux has diode bypassing so if a leaf or partial shade from an AC unit hits you won't lose total production. These are the perfect size for Travel Trailers. I buy, sell and install these for friends and family. I've installed these on RVs, job site trailers and Race team hauler trailers. I always make it standard procedure to test the panel before I put it on the roof, today in Southwest lower Michigan April 3rd, with a blue sky, the solar panel tilted to the sun was making 183watts, and last June I was getting 202watts with a blue sky. I can cover the panel with my hat and it drops down to 142watts which is to be expected, the standard type N would drop to 70 watts... THE diode bypassing technology is a game changer and went paired with type in Construction cells, It doesn't get any better than this. Size: these are a couple of inches wider than the 200 W panels of four years ago and about 4 1/4 inches shorter. A plus! Measured size is 30"x 49 3/4" and weighs 24lbs... This translates to smaller size and more power out, they are more efficient. They can be used in series or parallel, I install these on 12 V operating system system RV's all day long and I let the charge control controller do its magic. The open circuit voltage is 36 1/2 V, when plugged into a charge controller to charge a battery a solar panel voltage is 31 V plus or minus Sunshade, and your charge controller is set up for your battery voltage, everyone deal with is a 12.8 V operating system... Don't let some of the reviews on here concern you about the voltage, your MPPT charge control controller will allow you to set the battery voltage ! These are a great value with 28 bypass diodes per solar panel, incredible advancement in solar technology. A great value for your money, especially with the smaller footprint, the power output, and the ability to charge well on days when it's not perfectly sunny. We just recently added a second one to my brothers camper and he loves it for keeping his batteries topped off, and the refrigerator is cold! Will Prowse also have these 5stars of 5! Look him up! -Keith 3dayrv.
Review: 10 month review. It's good quality and works well - Mounted on my Toyota Sienna easily with common mounts. I have seen it charge as high as 216 watts on good days I use it to keep my Bluetti AC180 charged and it works great. It's been in use continuously for 10 months and has done it's job as expected. I had 1 week of cloudy skys last summer and had to charge my power station on household current but other than that is has kept up with my needs. I'm glad I got the Shadowflux. I spent a lot of time reasearching solar panels for Van Life and this one would suit most people's needs. I run a refridgerator, house lighting and do most of my cooking on induction cooktop. The combination of the Bluetti and Renogy solar panel have been a good match for my needs. The only probem I had was the included cable broke but that coulld have been my fault. Carry a spare panel to solar generatior cable just in case

## Questions & Answers

**Q: What kinds of shading is ShadowFlux designed for?**
A: ShadowFlux’s advanced cell tech cuts power loss in all common shading cases: small spots (Bird droppings, leaves, mud), lines (wires, rigging), patches (vents, branches), and moving shadows. For best results, keep over half the panel in direct sunlight.

**Q: Is ShadowFlux designed for a 12V or 24V system?**
A: ShadowFlux features a high open-circuit voltage of 36.5V and is compatible with both 12V and 24V battery systems. However, in partially shaded conditions(from trees, debris, or boat masts), a 12V system provides much better stability and reliability.

**Q: What kind of charge controller do I need for ShadowFlux?**
A: Use an MPPT charge controller for best performance. MPPTs are more efficient and use full panel voltage even in low light. Some PWM controllers may fail, so MPPT is safer. Recommended specs Max Input Voltage: ≥ 50V Charging Current: > 10A

**Q: How ShadowFlux outperforms under real-world shadows?**
A: Traditional solar panels can lose all power from just one shaded cell. ShadowFlux is built to handle real-world shadows, keeping you generating when others can’t. It delivers much higher output with far less power loss under the same shading.

**Q: Why does my panel sometimes produce less than 120W?**
A: The 120W rating is based on STC conditions. Actual output varies with sunlight, temperature, weather, shading, and cleanliness. Output below 120W is normal and not a defect. For best results, keep the panel clean and in direct sunlight.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Performance!
*by B***S on May 7, 2026*

I have been running 4 of these panels (wired 2S2P) for a total of 480w on the top of a Sprinter 3500XL RV for 5 months now and am super impressed with their performance in all weather conditions. When the sun shines, they consistently approach their max capacity (80%) and stay above 300w. But the great thing is their versatility: they produce 100+w even in cloudy conditions where my previous flexible panels would hardly produce anything at all. I have not needed to run the onboard generator for my 420ah LiFePO4 battery bank since I installed these panels. Installation was fairly easy on my DIY superstrut roof rack system with bolt down clamps; they are firm even after driving across the country from FL to AZ. These have been a great value for money and very durable, especially when compared to flexible panels. I expect these to last much longer than I plan to own the RV.
