This book is fantastic, clear and precise. It logically guides you through to give you the confidence of using PixInsight and enough information to then go forward and more into depth.

New to PixInsight? This is THE book to get you up and running! PixInsight is a complicated and sometimes confusing ecosystem of precision tools that allow you to do amazing things with images of the night sky. There are so many tools and so many options. How do you use them? Why do you need them? In what order should you use them? Does it matter? This book answers all of these questions and much more. As the title says, this book walks you step-by-step through astrophotography image processing using PixInsight. In addition to clear explanations, the book provides many screenshots so that you can follow along without getting lost. It also includes flowcharts that provide a roadmap of each step along the way, explaining when you might want to take a different path with alternative tools. It even includes sample data of the M31 Andromeda galaxy (image attached) that you can process as you learn PixInsight. Reading this book is like looking over the shoulder of an expert tutor as he teaches you how to use PixInsight. This is the first (and only) resource that I have found that puts all of the pieces together in a way that makes sense to beginners.
