Intel Core i5-760 Processor 2.8 GHz 8 MB Cache Socket LGA1156

Amazing value if you don't need Hyper-Threading. Great gaming CPU! I would recommend the i5-2500k at this point, but I've been very happy with the i5-760. Mine is at 3.7GHz and has been running 24/7 since October. My temps are 28C idle and 50C full load after hours of prime95. I've had the 760 stable at 4.2GHz, but that was overkill for my needs. Rips anything I throw at it. I wanted to see if I could slow this CPU down and I couldn't. I tried multiple browsers with 50+ tabs each, iTunes playing, file backups to a NAS and a Photoshop batch process all while playing COD Black Ops and this CPU didn't care. Even with prime95 running all cores at 100% I can still listen to music and surf the web without any lag. Pretty amazing. This CPU and the 1156 socket are old news, but I'm very happy with it. Like the title says, I got it at about noon today and I have it in my computer now. Installation went smoothly. One thing I have to say is that the stock fan is pretty loud. All and all I'm very happy with this product

I upgraded from i3 530 to this baby and I can't complain!! This cpu brings large performance!! It's old but, it's still a beast out there!!! This beast can even run today's games like Battlefield 4, Metro Redux etc on high to ultra settings without any lag!! Paired with my Nvidia GeForce GTX 650 Ti BOOST, and 10gb of ram, my pc has become a sweet spot gaming pc!!

I bought this on Black friday, for $174.80 yeah that was the best deal i had on this CPU, until today no problem at all Price just went $10 down after the i5 2500 came out. Performance it is good enough for me on games and editing. i didn't wanted to buy the i7 back then it was to pricy while this was a Quad core and ever cheaper than the i5 750 on black friday. Thans Intel, im loyal to you since my AMD on 2006 fail on my two computers.Never going back to AMD.

I upgraded to this from an old POS and might I say, my video editing workflow is improved tenfold! I've overclocked to 3.2 GHz which is good enough for me, and its a beast! I would either recommend this or the i7 cpu that has the same frequency because it has hyper threading. It all depends on if you use power hungry applications like after effects to utilize the extra "virtual cores." But anyways, awesome core processor, good job Intel!

Works as it should, what can you say

I have ordered this cpu as an upgrade for my i3 550 cpu. It performs about 10-15% faster in benchmarks, but runs all games at maxed settings flawlessly. The only thing is you need a good quality thermal compound as this cpu is 95 watts vs i3 being 65w. Simple box cooler cools it very nice on stock settings. If you need to use overclocking, be sure to get a better cooling rather box versions.

I was not sure how much improvement I would get from my Core 2 Duo to this Core i5 , but since my desktop PC was something like 3 years old I went ahead and upgraded it. This CPU is on a Gigabyte ATX Motherboard GA-P55A-UD3 (LGA1156 4DDR3-2200 CrossFireX/GBE/Raid/SATA3/USB3.0/7.1-CH ), I am impressed and I certainly think the combination of this CPU and the motherboard is real value for money.

I was searching for a long time and after a little researching i decided to try to buy this processor. My PC had an i3-530 witch it's powerless for today, but with this new processor my pc now can fly🙂 i am very happy with this buy. Absolutly recomended. Thank you!

今では、古い1156系のcore i5ですが、物理4コアでGPU無し、シリーズの分類はi5ですが、i7に近いかと。 おまけ程度のGPUが不要でしたら、これが良いです。 i7と比較して価格に大差が無いようでしたら、i7の方が良いかもしれません。 金額との相談ですが、比較的安価であれば、買いだと思います。
