can I turn off IR night vision to avoid back glare through window installation

Absolutely! You can disable the Night Vision (IR LED) feature in the Tapo app. Simply select the camera, then tap on the word "Auto" (top-right, next to the gear-shaped icon), and select "Day Mode" to disable the IR LEDs. Please be advised that the monitored location should be adequately illuminated at night if you want the camera to reliably pick up details and monitor the location.

Fair value for pricing compact camera.

I have a number of the other Tapo cameras, mostly Tapo C120. That was out of stock, I needed an extra camera so settled on the C111. I just set it up and so far, so good. The base and frame while sturdy are much slighter than the C120, but fuctional and seems will be stable. Overall, this seems like a fair value product for the pricing.
