theory11 Box Two Board Game by Neil Patrick Harris

Not as challenging as its predecessor, box one, but still a great game. I won't offer any spoilers but what I will say is don't go exploring. Let the game guide you. You don't want to spoil anything for yourself. Also, set aside about 2 to 3 hours for the gameplay and have a flashlight and something a few inches longer than a pencil (I used a chopstick) handy. Oh and keep in mind that you will need internet access to play. There is no "offline" way to play. Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this game but it would have been nicer to not have to spend as much time online. If you loved box one then you'll like this but maybe not quite as much. That said, I look forward to box 3. Oh and please reset the game and give it away. There is no replayability value in this so soread the wealth. And, if you decide to keep the souvenir mentioned in the final bit of gameplay please replace it with a note and a trinket (I used a small coin) for the next person.

I have a hard time keeping my teen engaged with family time. These Boxes have been AWESOME! My kid and I spent a whole afternoon together laughing, and working out the puzzles and clues, and having a great time together. NPH has made another winner! Thank you!

A freakin BLAST! Thought I loved Box One but they outdid themselves with these components! Worth every penny

If you played the first one, gotta play this one. Not as good, in my opinion, and didn't take as long. Still worth the purchase

I'm still in the middle of playing box one... But I couldn't help going ahead and getting box two. It doesn't take as long to play it as box one does but with that being said the puzzles are great! Honestly I think I would buy anything that Neil Patrick Harris has his hands in! His playing cards are in my basket now... Can't wait to order them!!! So to summarize this was a great game and I recommend it to anyone!

Box 1 was slightly better but this one is very ingenious, challenging and fun. Great puzzles and surprising solutions. Bought it for Thanksgiving and play with all ages and everyone enjoyed it. Hopefully a Box 3 is in the works.

I just finished playing Box One and Box Two. Both are super fun games, and I wish there were a lot more like them. In that regard, they are both successes in providing something unique and original. For Box Two, this one is longer, and the difficulty was ramped up a bit, but still not as good as Box One. Spoilers Ahead: Pros - The choices. I liked being able to choose what to do next in certain instances. The design. Just like the first it looks amazing and hides some surprises. The quality. Again, like the first one, it has amazing quality and pieces. Perfect challenge level. It wasn't too hard or easy IMO. And plenty of help is available. The first one was a bit too easy. Story. It was fun. I thought the story in box one was more interesting personally. Cons - The puzzle. Wow what a hard stop to the game. I get the point of it, but man was it a killer in terms of fun. I wish they did literally anything else to get to the QR Code. How much the hydraulic room was used. Having to repeatedly hold my phone's flashlight while simultaneously looking inside, while in some cases trying to manipulate something small was a horrible choice and made the game more frustrating then anything. Along with this, the things inside to manipulate were very difficult to even move. I was questioning if I was on the right track at one point since they were so stuck. The online conversations with NPH were, in a word, terrible. I get that he was guiding me to the answer but sometimes I'd figure it out early and tell NPH in chat, and I'd still get a response of "Did you try this?" I had to let it go through the multiple responses just to move forward. I also had to quit during a chat, and came back later only to find I had re-do entire conversations over again. It also just tells you to open compartments sometimes. The first game had fun ways to surprise me, this one seemed less surprising as it just said something like "now unlock the drawer to move on." instead of something like the first game where it was "Place these cards in this holes and a new envelope shows up!" So it's definitely a fun game, and I'm happy I played it. But I would say Box One is the better game. Even knowing it's a shorter experience. I just found myself much more frustrated with Box Two in terms of game design then I did with Box One.

These games are our absolute favorite for a date night in! We highly recommend Box One and Box Two!
