Love this tool!!
This is a must have for working in the yard! We have an overgrown yard at my parents' house, and I was dreading some of the bushes and trees I was going to have to tackle. This little guy was a lifesaver and ridiculously easy to use. My husband and I both love it. I might actually get him one to keep in his truck for clearing up the disc golf path so he can quit stealing mine. Battery life was great, and I was glad I purchased the set that included a second battery and case. Once I got started, I wanted to keep going until I could finish, and having the backup allowed me to work pretty much all day.

Very handy tool for smaller pruning jobs where a large saw is too much. Bar wears out over time
This is a cool little pruning chainsaw for the price point. It comes in a plastic hardcase with the installed chain on the saw plus 2 spares, a bar adjusting wrench, phillips screwdriver, a small amount of bar and chain oil, two batteries, and a 21V 0.75A output adapter power supply to charge the batteries, and instruction manual. The manual is pretty clear once you read through all the ways to get injured. It includes a flip down chain guard but it doesn't actively stop the blade like the full-sized saws. The saw also doesn't have a chain oiler so it's recommended you lube it at each battery change. The trigger has a safety side button to prevent accedential activation. With this short bar you can't plan on cutting down big stuff but for smaller pruning jobs or if you want to go full lumberjack on a smaller arborvitae it will entertain you. The saw seems to have a good operating speed to prevent it from bogging down, but just keep in mind it is a small battery powered saw so don't ask more of it than was intended. After using the saw for a couple weeks I learned a few things about hard use cutting a laurel hedge up to 3' thick. First, oil the chan and bar often. The bar and chain guides do wear quickly if you only oil after battery change as per the instructions. You need to oil more than that. Also, the chain is sharp and can get grabby if you don't have the saw well supported. Usually you want to begin cutting when the the back of the bar nearest the saw motor so it can't grab and jerk the saw. When this happens, it loosens the bar and the chain jumps the guide. It doesn't matter how tight you get the bar adjusting bolt. A couple grabs and that chain is loose. After a week of hard work, the bar is beginning to wear on bottom where the chain tends to loosen and jump out of the guide. The metal is not hardened like a full size saw so it just doesn't hold up to hard use and as the bar wears, it spreads out and creates a burr around the chain guide, making it too wide to fit in the kerf of the chain cut. I used a flapper wheel to remove this burr but even with more oiling, it came back. I think it's just poor quality metal here. More frequent oiling helps and using it for smaller branches would prevent some of that wear and tear. Also, if you cut through a thick piece and use a lot of power, give the motor a rest every few 10-15 seconds or it will shut off for several minutes with nor warning to protect itself. Small branches are no problem but you have to give it a rest when cutting the larger stuff. Lastly, the indicator lights on the battery show full charge (3 dots) right up until it's dead flat so they aren't much help. You'll know when it's time to recharge, unless you work it really hard without a break, and then there is no way to tell until it cools down and resets.

I love it!
I used this tool to cut away some mangroves I had growing wild around the property. I was amazed at how long each battery lasted and how fast I was able to clear away the bushes. the hardshell case is a plus too! It also comes with an extra chain!!

Small in Size with Powerful Cutting and High Torque Motor. Lightweight Great for all Day use.
I recommend this SAKER Portable Electric 4 inch Mini Chainsaw. This is a great Kit, it comes with a nice hard shell Plastic Case that holds everything conveniently in one place. The Chainsaw is equipped with a Chain already attached, you just need to check the installation. The Instruction/Safety Manual describes care, use and safety features in a clear easy to read format. There is a screwdriver, a nut driver wrench and a bottle of oil with screw on cap in the case. All the extras are in this Case, two extra chains in light oil are in sealed plastic packs. There are 2-rechargeable lithium Batteries 20 Volt 1500mAh and a Charging cable that has a Charge Status Light when you plug it into the Battery pack. The Plug shows a Red light when Charge is needed and a Green light when the Battery is Fully charged and ready for use. My Wife and I are both retired and we both are able to make use of this handy chainsaw for trimming branches, cutting limbs and even cutting boards for some of our DIY projects around the property. The Mini Chainsaw is light enough to be used one handed and it is ergonomic making it a Tool we can use all day without it causing hand and arm fatigue. The mini chainsaw can not be operated without engaging the Safety Switch on the side of the handle away form the trigger. The Chains with this saw are designed for great cutting ability and they stay extremely sharp making quick work of all of your cutting tasks. This SAKER Electric Mini Chainsaw is a great Value for the cost, it takes the place of several yard tools, like a long handled Lopper Pruner, a Bow Saw an smaller hand pruners. The Motor runs cooler and it provides super torque and cutting power and runs a long time on a single charged Battery and when that one is drained you have the 2nd Battery Charged and ready to go. Keeping those two Batteries rotated and Charged gives you an incredible amount of working time with your Mini Chainsaw.
