Fantastic all round honing oil
This is the second bottle of Nathan’s honing oil I’ve bought because I see no reason to look elsewhere. Whilst it may only look to be a small bottle a little goes a very long way. I draw a short line down the middle of the stone, a quick rub in to cover the whole surface and away you go. I use this primarily to help sharpen two things; my kitchen knives and my straight razors. Using this oil on my Welsh slate sharpening stones really helps give the razors a very shiny, highly polished edge, most if not all of the are now sharper than when I bought them. As for knives it’s a similar story when sharpened on my 300/1000 grit diamond plate. A well polished edge that will shave hair off your arm. Why will I keep using this? Well I’ve had mixed results on the above mentioned stones with water and/or slurry, I’ve discovered using this oil and no slurry is the combination I need for the stones I have. Great buy and I’d definitely recommend.

A little goes a long way
Bought the honing oil after purchasing the Lansky Dual Grit Sharpener. Tried other oils on the grit sharpener but nothing came close to how well this product works. Only a few drops are required to get the sharpener working efficiently. Doesn't only just lubricate the sharpener but actually lifts the minute amount of swarf from the axe head created when sharpening. Other oils just turn into a grinding paste, while this oil just lets the sharpener do its thing. Wouldn't use one without the other.

Best Oil for Whetstones
This truly is one of the best oils on the market for whetstones and knife sharpening. I have used it for years and now after more than ten years I have had to replace my bottle. I have used it for kitchen and camping knives and the ever present small pocket knife I have in my bag for peeling fruit or cutting a sandwich. I can really recommend this product.
