I use this to double protect my computer equipment by surge protection while in use and switched off when not in use. Before ordering I was concerned the on/off switch might not be heavy duty but it seems to be decent quality (Will follow up on this after long term use). The metal housing is well made. It works very well for my use and the switch is in a convenient position for my needs. Overall, it's a very good value IMO.

Summary I’m using this power strip in a full garage workshop setup — multiple 3D printers with AMS units on a BROR rack, lasers, soldering gear, lighting, and computer stations. It’s handled everything I’ve thrown at it without overheating or struggling. The build quality is solid, but the angled outlets and tight spacing on one side limit what you can plug in. Real‑World Use The strip feels well‑built with a durable housing and a thick, sturdy cord. Even though the cord is on the shorter side, it’s tough enough for garage use and hasn’t shown any signs of wear. With eight outlets and USB ports, I’m able to power every corner of my workspace cleanly and neatly. Performance‑wise, it’s been rock‑solid. I can run all my 3D printers at the same time with no issues, and the strip never gets warm or makes any buzzing sounds. The surge‑protected outlets are spaced perfectly for smart plugs, which is a huge plus in a modern workshop. The downside is the angled outlet design. Plugging things in one‑handed can be awkward, and the outlets on one side are packed too tightly. Any square‑style plug blocks the next outlet, making several ports unusable. It’s not a deal‑breaker, but it’s definitely something to be aware of if you rely on bulkier adapters. Pros - Handles multiple 3D printers, AMS units, and tools without strain - Durable build with a tough, workshop‑ready cord - Surge‑protected outlets spaced well for smart plugs - USB ports add convenient charging options - No overheating or electrical noise under heavy load Cons - Angled outlets make one‑handed plugging difficult - Tight spacing on one side blocks adjacent outlets with square plugs - Cord is durable but a bit short for larger garage layouts Who This Is For Perfect for makers, tinkerers, and garage workshop setups running multiple devices at once. Great for 3D printing stations, electronics benches, and tool walls. Final Verdict A strong, reliable power strip that truly handles heavy‑duty loads. The outlet spacing quirks keep it from being perfect, but for workshop use, it’s still a dependable and worthwhile upgrade.

I love this power strip. We hung a nail in our garage and we can get by that so it’s easy to reach.
