Safety first!
This is some cheap insurance against the very real possibility that disaster can happen at any moment! I bought this for my son who does backcountry skiing, both to help rescue him and to help him rescue his friends if need be.

Does it work Properly!
I used it today in a beacon garden, and it worked well in a the life saving drills. Only time will tell if it holds up. I will continue drills, and hope it continues to perform. I hope I never really have to use it.

Loaded the batteries to see if it switched on, it did. That's all I can do until late December when I will meet other people with Beacons to test if it works.
