Bose Soundlink Flex 2
This Bose speaker is amazing, I have different speakers made by Bose all of them are great and I have never been disappointed by any of them, the only reason I have bought this one is for the size and robust design for travel. Easy set up it connected to all my devices straight away, the Bose app is brilliant it makes life so much easier, I knew from experience it would be good but the sound quality matches my larger and more expensive speakers, it really fills the room with Bose quality sound, very impressed. Great battery life, it will last the twelve hours they state and it does charge very fast. Easy to use, nice controls and a really nice design, there are plenty of different cases available for it from hard to carrying, I will be getting one of these for added protection but it is a robust speaker with dust and water prevention features so not a requirement. As for the price, I must admit I did get this discounted so it's easy for me to say how great the value is, but truthfully I would like to buy another one in the future so I can connect them together for an even better sound experience and if I have to pay the full price I will do so as I truly believe they are worth the money. Once again a fantastic speaker worth buying if you want great sound on the go or as your set up in the house. I hope your experience will be as positive as mine has been because I am chuffed with my purchase. Very happy.

Powerful Portable Speaker
Fabulous portable speaker. As you would expect from BOSE the sound quality is excellent. It holds a charge really really well. It’s really easy to pair with my phone and other Bose speakers I have. It’s also really sturdy and excellent value for money. Would totally recommend.

Impressive Bose quality in a smart, highly portable package
Having recently bought a new MacBook Air, I was keen to find a portable Bluetooth speaker that would improve the MacBook's tinny sound. After having watched a few comparison videos on YouTube, I plumped for the Flex 2 SoundLink. It felt strange buying a speaker without hearing or seeing it, but I've had Bose products before and always liked their sound. Having used it for three weeks now I have to say I'm really impressed. It's so easy to use, immediately pairing to both my laptop and iPhone and for such a small speaker the sound is superb. Yes, it's not stereo, but the quality of the sound it produces is superb, neither tinny or boomy, just rich and surprisingly loud. I find it works best sat on a phone stand (I use the excellent Lamicall) and in conjunction with a portable Anker charger. Once charged, the battery lasts for hours (at least 10) and quickly recharges. Being portable and Bluetooth, you can take it anywhere you want, be it the bathroom or outside. The speaker can also be controlled via the Bose app which also allows you to alter the EQ levels (Although fairly basic, I imagine Bose will update the software at some point) All n all, I think this is a great little speaker - it has transformed listening to music on both my laptop and phone. Its understated looks and finish exude quality and the sound performance speaks for itself.

Amazing sound for a portable
Fantastic speaker, was considering the beats pill as my kids have them and they are great but decided on this as I had a Bose iPod doc years ago that was superb. Not disappointed at all the speaker is superb. Sound quality is amazing for a speaker this size. Super easy to set up and connect to my iPhone. The app has an equaliser so you can tailor the sound to suit you. Feels so well built and sturdy. Can’t fault it at all. Great speaker that, based on tests, is great outdoors. Can’t comment on that yet.

Incredible.
These speakers are the best money I've ever spent. Wanted Bluetooth speakers for mobility around the house and something compact and these fit the bill perfectly. The sound is absolutely amazing and I have heard new instruments on tracks I have played hundreds of times before and the sound is sharp with outstanding depth and breadth. We live in a normal size 3 bed semi detached house and I only need to play my music at the bottom of the volume range to fill the room with sound. My advice would be to purchase 2 speakers as I did to get the benefits of stereo sound by linking them as the difference in sound when playing on 1 or 2 speakers is like night and day. At first I thought that they were a little too bassy for me but realised that this is only on certain songs and playing either soul tracks recorded in stereo or orchestral/ classical music is out of this world. I have had more than my money's worth out of these speakers within a matter of weeks and continue to do so on an almost daily basis. Can be linked to smart TV but I had a bit of lip sync but I didn't buy them for that purpose so no issue for me and in any event TV settings can be adjusted to alleviate that issue. Charging time and usage time are better than what Bose advertise so can only conclude they err on the side of caution in their claims. I'm one very happy man.

Compact speaker packs a mighty punch!
The Bose Soundlink Flex portable speaker packs a mighty punch that totally belies its size, and when you are travelling that is important! It’s 12 hours running time is plenty for most situations, and charging is quick via USB C charging. It’s easy to pair via Bluetooth and you can connect to several devices! It is waterproof and dust proof so you can use by the pool or beach without concern! There is controls on the speaker to pair and change volume making it easy to use, and it has a solid feel, which gives confidence that it will last a long time. The sound quality is good and goes to a high volume without showing sign of distortion. I got it at a very good price via Amazon’s Prime sale event which just made it all the sweeter!

The sound is full... the bass is amazing!! The app works well to fine tune the sound to your liking. It's lightweight and very easy to take with you on the go. It fits nicely in bags due to the flatter design. I am very happy with this purchase.

The Bose SoundLink Flex 2nd Gen speaker is hands down my favorite bluetooth speaker, though I do own the latest Beats Pill and love it for its capabilities. At present, I own eight of these 2nd Gen Flex speakers, one in each color variant. I do find that audiobooks, podcasts and spoken content sound best on the 2nd Gen Flex. Most Music does as well. Some reviewers report sound differences between the color variants. After initially suspecting this and repeatedly comparing the identical audio on each speaker, I found that the most likely explanation is how one is holding the speaker when audio is playing, as the audio does change based on the position of the speaker. Features I would like to see in the 3rd Gen model include: Much longer battery life. The technology and capabilities exist. The speaker is so excellent that paying a little more for much longer battery life, perhaps double, would be worth it. Lossless ability. When connecting the latest Bose Ultra headphones and even the Beats Pill to my iPhone with the Usb C to Usb C cables, each offer lossless streaming. The ability to connect the Flex to a CD player or some other audio device via the cable. There are Usb C to 3.5mm male and female cables on the market and this would be nice as I still have a small Bose CD player and plenty of CDs. While there are bluetooth transmitters such as the AirFly which make connectivity possible, direct wired connectivity is still nice for some of us. A detachable strap. The Beats Pill and the most excellent Bose SoundLink Micro 2nd Gen both offer a detachable strap. This would be a nice option for the Flex in the future. Pairing four Flex speakers in surround sound mode. While two Flex speakers are great in stereo, pairing four for surround sound would be next level great. The ability to change the volume of the obnoxious sounds the Flex puts out. I do like these sounds, particularly when the speaker connects to bluetooth. However, these are way too loud. The Beats Pill has the option of controlling the volume of its sounds. The same is true for the voice prompts. While some of the voice prompts can be disabled in the app, the volume cannot be changed. Even without these potential additions to a 3rd Gen Flex, this existing 2nd Gen Flex is a phenomenal bluetooth speaker that serves many purposes. The Alpine Sage color variant has been discontinued, as it was limited. However, the existing color options are excellent, particularly the Twilight Blue. Although the Flex and Beats Pill are both excellent and come down to personal preference when selecting one or the other, I would also go with the Flex if I did not have the luxury of owning both. In fact, I would go with the Flex over any other, even if it has yet to fulfill all its potential, which with the suggestions I mentioned for the 3rd Gen Flex, it would be an untouchable speaker. Highly recommend the 2nd Gen Flex to all reading this.
