Review: Cool Recovery Tool – Just Wish the Instructions Were Clearer - This thing is actually pretty awesome once you figure out how to use it. The suction is strong, the heat feels great, and the red light therapy is a nice bonus. I’ve been using it mostly on my shoulders and lower back after workouts, and it really helps loosen things up. Only reason I’m giving it 4 stars is because the instructions were kind of vague and not super beginner-friendly. I had to play around with it a bit (and watch a couple of videos) to really get the hang of it. Once you’re past the learning curve though, it’s a solid little tool to have at home for muscle recovery.

These suck (in a good way)
Let me preface this by saying: if you’re on blood thinners, maybe admire this from a distance or wear some medieval armor when using it. This isn’t your average “Amazon impulse buy” that shows up with cheap packaging and halfhearted performance. This thing performs like it’s got something to prove. At first glance, I expected the usual—a device that barely does what it claims, destined to be forgotten in a drawer. But this beast didn’t just meet expectations—it put them through a pressure test and left them gasping. The controls are intuitive and its easy to clean when done. When I say it could suck a golf ball through a garden hose, I’m not exaggerating for effect. It’s got so much draw it almost feels like someone reverse-engineered it off a jet turbine. I’ve used similar products before, but none delivered with this level of intensity. You know those random online finds that come with a sprinkle of hope and a dash of doubt? This one flips that script. It’s priced at $37, and depending on your needs, that might be the best gamble you’ve made this year. So, yes, use with care. It’s an overachiever with a punch. If it works for you, it’s not just a good value—it’s absurdly good. Just don’t let it near anything you’d like to keep intact.

Strong Electric Cupping Device
The electric cupping device is very strong, and depending on where I use it, I’d recommend having someone supervise. It’s a powerful handheld device, and I had to spend some time figuring out what each button does before using it. If not used properly, it can definitely cause skin damage. There are four main buttons for suction and heat control: - Bottom button: Press and hold to turn the device on or off. - Right button: Controls suction intensity. - Left button: Controls heat intensity. - Top button: Releases suction pressure. - Center display: Shows battery life. It would’ve been better if the heat and pressure settings had separate up/down buttons. Right now, if I want to lower the intensity, I have to keep pressing the same button to cycle all the way through the levels until it resets back to 1. There are 12 levels for both suction and heat, so it can be a bit tedious. Even at level 1, the suction is very powerful. I’ve only been using level 1 since the suction speed is slower, and any slight air leak softens the suction, which works better for me. I usually set the heat between levels 2–5. It doesn’t feel very warm on its own, but paired with the suction, I can feel the effects. When it comes to using the device on my back, I definitely need help. It’s hard to reach behind and press the right buttons while the device is actively suctioning. There is a raised bump on the release button to help identify it by touch, but it’s still uncomfortable to try and operate it alone. Overall, it’s a very strong and effective cupping device, but it’s hard to use by yourself—especially for the back. A separate remote or wireless control would’ve made this a lot more user-friendly.

They sure do leave a mark
I had seen the pictures of the round circles these cupping things leave behind all over the web. People who had done it swore by it and I was always curious about it. I do like non medical ways of helping the body and when I had a chance to get these I did. After opening the box and looking at the manual I see there were 3 different models of these electric cupping cups. This model is the top of the line with 12 settings for pretty much everything, which is the heat and the vacuum part. There is a timer so you can set how long you want it to do its thing which is nice. I gave one of them a try to see what it would feel like on my forearm. It was at setting 2 for the vacuum and also the heat. There is also a pause button if needed. I placed it on my arm and let it do its thing. After about a minute you could see my skin all pulled up into the cup. It didn't hurt at all and just felt weird. After about 2 or 3 minutes I decided to stop it. Again not because there was any pain but I was just testing it. What surprised me was there was already a hickey forming where it was and over the next few hours it became brighter and easily seen. It didn't hurt at all but I was so shocked that in that amount of time it did that. If you left it there for the entire 20 minutes it definitely would be a bright red mark on your body. I do believe these work for what they say it can and these seem to be easier than the real cups with a flame. The only thing I could see that would better maybe if these were also sold in a set of 4. Great product that does what it says.

Use caution
Use it once and after I took off the cupping device I felt a lot of bumps. Didn’t think anything of it, I couldn’t see them because I used it on my lower neck/ back. Keep feeling the bumps and the next day the bumps were still there but leaking. Turns out it caused 21 blisters.
