I bought this for my daughter who has low porosity, type 4 hair. So far, we have only used it twice, but I swear after the first use there was a difference in her hair. We have tried every tip and trick for low porosity hair, so many different products that are targeted specifically for low porosity hair, some products we would see a difference, but not enough. After alot of research, and posting in forums, etc. It was suggested to use heat to deep condition, so after looking at different heat treatment options, I decided an electric heat cap would be the better option to get us started. It was super easy to use, I appreciated that it came with a shower cap. It fit my 7 year old daughter well, especially with the drawstring. We started with it on a 2 but she wanted it warmer so we kicked it up to 3, that seems to be the right setting for her, for 20 minutes, is perfect. She just relaxes and watches TV, she absolutely loves it. So if you or your child have low porosity hair and need something to help your hair absorb and retain moisture, I highly recommend trying this heat cap.

THIS CAP HEATS UP GREAT!!! I originally went to Amazon to purchase a blow dryer heating cap to use with a hair dye, removing treatment. Then electric heating caps pop-up. I didn’t even know these existed in a 20$ price range. I thought it was necessary to buy an overhead dryer or the blow dryer method. I did carefully look at other brands and decided on this one due to the reviews and heat settings, along with cord length. Some other brands people complained the cords weren’t very long and would require an extension cord. Comes with a reusable protective shower cap. Keep in mind this is thicker than the plastic disposable. I have used this cap with it and I have used it only using the disposable. When using the included cap you will need to turn the heat up higher at least a few notches to feel the heat. Reviewers also were pretty consistent with the heat output. I have used this cap 4 times. One of my sessions had a break in between so you could say 5 times. Cap heats up fast. Also provides a variety of heat settings for a variety of treatments. Not everybody wants full force, heat or super low heat. I love this feature. I have used this for deep conditioning with matrix food for soft. After taking out my ktip extensions. Also with curl smith multitask conditioner. It’s just what I had on hand then. I have natural curly course hair. After using it for the first time after removal, it was super easy to get the remaining left over (glue) bond. I had high quality Italian keratin bonding so it didn’t just fall out even with alcohol and my hair is curly. My hair came back to life. I also have used this cap twice for color removing processing which is completely necessary to have good constant safe heat. I didn’t need to use this cap over 5 or 6. But is using both caps I did turn up to 7-8. I also have turned the cap up to get it nice and warm and then turned it down during this time to not over process. One of the products I used suggested heat to speed up the time of processing and it did help. The other requires. The cap fits perfect. Not odd or weird. Can be easily adjusted. I can say I have average size head. I have tightened it, I don’t feel where it was tightened or anything like that. All I feel is the nice warm toasty feeling. No uncomfortable feelings or get this cap off of type feelings. The timer is on it. I actually just sat at my desk and worked on my nails or looked things up on my phone and the time went by super fast. I would suggest to read reviews and if you see that caps are fitting weird or not heating good those are think about since you will be wearing it. A few dollar price difference isn’t worth wasting your money. This product came with a nice drawstring bag and a QR code to register product for a 6 month warranty. That’s good for an electronic off Amazon for this price. I hope this saves anyone from spending too much time searching through amazon or buying junk based off a few good ones. I took my time with this I know it’s long but it’s everything I can say. So overall I would say this heats up super fast, fits super comfortably. Is a nice treat to yourself in a self care aspect. If you need a cap not only for conditioning treatments, but also to process at home or on the go definitely worth it.
