The only downside—and the reason for 4 stars instead of 5—is that it tends to stain the skin during application. If you're not careful, you’ll end up with black dye on the skin around your beard. It does fade after a day or two, but I wish the formula or application method minimized this better. I’ve learned to apply a thin layer of lotion or petroleum jelly around the beard to reduce staining, and that helps. Aside from the skin staining issue, this is a reliable, effective beard dye that delivers salon-quality results at home. If you’re looking for something that gives strong coverage and a bold finish, this is still a solid choice. Just take a little extra care during application.

Never colored my hair before. Figured I'd give it a try. Turned out looking good. I look like I'm 20 years younger. I would listen to what they suggest as of going a shade lighter. I went with the 55. It came out pretty dark black. Very easy to use. I suggest useing a little vaseline to cut the border/edge of your beard as the dye will stain your skin. There are lots of video's on youtube to help you. Im switching to there beard shampoo. I found it kind of fun to do. It's a drastic fast change/result but I don't care what other people think.

Much better pricing through Amazon! I will only order through here now. The product is the same as sold in stores and does the job. I'm confident and recommend this for any man whose not ready for that salt and pepper look.
