Great hair color
I love this color for my hair. Makes me look more Irish than I am. The color lasts quite awhile and the formula goes on well, not liquidy like some are. I have purchased it 3 times to keep them grays covered and does a decent job.

Best auburn red color
As someone who frequently dyes their hair at home, I recently tried the Clairol Niceโn Easy Permanent Hair Dye in the shade 6R Light Auburn. Hereโs a detailed review of my experience with this product. Packaging and Instructions: The hair dye comes in a well-organized kit that includes the color cream, color activator, conditioning treatment, gloves, and detailed instructions. The instructions are clear and easy to follow, making the application process straightforward even for those new to home hair coloring. Application: The gloves provided are of good quality and fit well, which is crucial for a mess-free application. Mixing the color cream with the activator was simple, and the resulting mixture had a smooth consistency that was easy to apply. The dye spreads evenly through the hair without dripping, and the application brush made it easy to reach the roots and evenly distribute the color. Color Result: The 6R Light Auburn shade turned out to be a beautiful, vibrant red with natural-looking undertones. The color was true to the box, providing a rich, warm auburn that wasnโt too overpowering. My hair had a noticeable shine and looked healthy post-dye. The multi-tonal color effect added depth and dimension, giving a salon-quality finish at home. Coverage: One of the standout features of Clairol Niceโn Easy is its excellent gray coverage. It effectively covered all my gray hairs, blending them seamlessly with the rest of my hair. The color was even from root to tip, without any patchiness. Conditioning Treatment: The included conditioning treatment is a fantastic addition. After rinsing out the dye, the conditioner left my hair feeling incredibly soft and manageable. It has a pleasant scent and added an extra layer of shine to the hair, enhancing the overall result. Longevity: In terms of longevity, the color has held up well over several weeks. It hasnโt faded significantly, and the vibrant auburn tone remains intact. The conditioning treatment provided also helps in maintaining the colorโs vibrancy and the hairโs health over time. Value for Money: Clairol Niceโn Easy offers excellent value for money. The quality of the dye, the richness of the color, and the comprehensive kit make it a cost-effective alternative to salon coloring. Given the professional-looking results and long-lasting color, itโs well worth the price. Overall Impression: Clairol Niceโn Easy Permanent Hair Dye in 6R Light Auburn is a standout product for home hair coloring. Its ease of application, vibrant and true-to-box color, excellent gray coverage, and added conditioning benefits make it a top choice. Whether you are looking to cover grays, switch up your look, or maintain your current color, this dye delivers impressive results. Highly recommended for anyone seeking a rich, natural-looking auburn shade with salon-quality results at home.

The color is not long-lasting.
Shade 5R gives a nice reddish tint :) It washes out very quicklyโafter just 2 or 3 washes, the color is barely visible.

Perfect for Root-Touch Up in-between Salon Visits
I naturally have light-medium brown hair, but I get my hair dyed Copper Red at the salon. Root touch-ups/color refresh can get pricey, and this Clairol saved my wallet! Follow the instructions carefully & always do a test strand. I have a lot of thick hair, and still only needed one bottle for roots & color refresh. I am shocked with how well it took to my roots and revitalized the rest of my red, if you follow instructions you should not have any "banding" either. I did leave the color on my roots for about 40min and then pulled color through to ends/added more to the rest of my hair and left on everywhere for 10min (starting timer both times after I had completely finished applying color). It turned out great!

No longer the old liquid formula
Update 8/20/18: From 2 stars to 3, maybe 3.5: I mix two colors together: 3 parts 4, Dark Brown, formerly 120; and 1 part 4R, Dark Auburn, formerly 112. This was easy with the old liquid formula, but the new creme is quite thick, which makes it difficult to get a good measurement. The developer is thick also, making the mixed consistency like a thin pudding. Pros: The color goes on easily with a salon brush; no dripping. The new formula seems to cover grays better than the old formula. Cons: The smell is very strong and the color burned my scalp a bit. Not badly, but the old formula did neither. As others have said, the color is darker in the new version than the old, which is probably more noticeable in the brunette shades. Also as others have said, this version stains horribly. If some drips on your counter or sink area, wipe it off as soon as you notice it. For skin staining, which is also worse, this is what I do: Before coloring, I swipe my forehead, ears, cheeks, around the eyes, and neck area under my ears with lip balm. It works as well as vaseline but doesn't leave a greasy residue on your hair. An inexpensive one from the $ store works fine. If you still have staining after coloring, Roux Clean Touch works quite well (available here on Amazon). I have some from the 70's -- my mom was a cosmetology vocational teacher and I still have some of her "inventory" -- so I hope the new version hasn't changed much. One last con: My hair seems more dull and dry compared to the beautiful soft results I got with the old formula. I'm hoping this will change with my first after-coloring shampoo. Pics are from coloring with new formula. Update: Don't mix the old liquid color formula with the new activator/peroxide! I had some color left of the old liquid formula, since I mix colors and only use half each time. I assumed the new peroxide would be the same as the old, and mixed it with the old liquid color. It mixed together fine, I applied it with a salon brush as usual; it was quite drippy. But after rinsing, I noticed the color just rubbing off on the towel, and my hair felt thick and unrinsed. Rinsed some more; same result. I finally had to shampoo it out, something I've never had to do. The result is OK, but I'm looking for another brand of haircolor. 4R, Dark Auburn, formerly 112 "Cozy Critic" said it perfectly: "While I like and have used the "old" Nice n Easy for years, what is being sold here is the new Nice and Easy product. The pictures on Amazon show the old liquid formula, but that's not what was delivered." The same happened with my order of Dark Auburn. Amazon was nice enough to give me a refund, since the product isn't described and pictured properly. Like other reviewers have said, I'm going to have to find a replacement haircolor, after ten years with Nice and Easy.

DONT BUY LOST HALF MY HAIR
My wife got this product, her review: Not only did the hair dye wash out by 80, it made half of my hair fall from the root!!! Itโs been 3 weeks since use and still have steady abnormal hair fall thatโs never happened before in my entire life. No change since then in diet lifestyle and not on medication, used the product exactly as instructed in the box including treatment time. I cannot believe the damage it has done to my scalp, do NOT BUY!
