This router is great for those who is looking for a budget alternative to the provided router from their ISP ( Internet service provider ). This router is 3x cheaper than the router that was provided by my ISP. But in terms of performance, and what it's capable of; it's sure within the caliber of my previous router. Speeds will vary by which plan you have. I have Fiber optic internet , which means I could potentially get 1gb speeds on both download & upload. Am I getting it with this router? No, but I wasn't getting it with my previous router as well. I was getting on average 300-320Mbps Download & 340-360 Upload on my previous router. On this router, I am getting 290-310 Mbps Download & 320-340 Mbps Upload. That is the only time where I notice the price difference of each router . But from my day to day activities , it is well capable enough for my family . We have 4 Smart TV's connected to it, 6 smartphones, 3 Laptops, and 2 consoles ; and let me say, it handled it well as the router that my ISP provided . It handled well for multiple devices gaming & 4K streaming simultaneously. The setup was quite simple, connect the WAN cable to it's designated port, go to the website as stated in the instruction and the user interface is quite easy to navigate around. I was scared in the beginning as I was able to connect to the Wifi network without a password but as you change the settings on the website, I have changed the network name as well as added a password on top of it. I turned off the " patented touch " feature as I prefer the old school method of entering the password but it's a handy feature ; needless to say. The " Turbo " feature seems more like a gimmick rather than a practical feature, but it allows you to optimize your network speeds for a good period of time . In terms of reliability , I haven't owned this router long enough to give you guys the information you might want to know, but i'll be updating this review in a few months. I highly recommend this router to those who are looking for a better alternative to those who are still with their original router , renting a router monthly from your ISP isn't worth it when you can get this router and it'll be worth it in the long run .

I know absolutely nothing about technology, except that I need it to function in my everyday life. My previous internet session was a nightmare, in that the wireless would just randomly drop out or be extremely slow. So I took a shot in the dark with purchasing a wifi router separately from the cable company- who, by the way, was asking a ridiculous amount of money for "their compatible" version (Love how these companies like to throw in that routers are not compatible to MAKE you purchase one from them- *insert sarcastic tone*). So because of the threats made by the cable company, my lack of technological wisdom, & already heightened annoyance with my previous router (from cable company by the way), I was extremely skeptical about purchasing a router that was a fraction of the cost of the cable companies... but I have a small apt and not running a business out of it that would have 20+ devices struggling to connect to the wifi. So I went for it. **Fast forward 2 months** No issues. None. SUPER EASY set up (as in plug in and turn on). And this might seem crazy but have had my tablet, phone and computer plus one more computer hooked up to the wifi and also had no issues. Moral of the story: sometimes if you just take a chance, you'll find out the world will not end and your life may become a little easier.

First the bad news, I cannot use port forwarding, even though the feature is in the admin page. I've tried resetting the router, and also double-checked the settings. It's turned on, the port forwarding just refuses to work. If you're gonna run a server or are a gamer then you may want to look for a different router unless you use this in LAN bridge mode with another router that supports port forwarding (as an extender). ANother downside, the ethernet ports for internal use on the back only provided me 10 or so MB/s, they're low quality. However the port for actual Internet hookup works well. I've gotten 300 KB/s tops for speed on 5 G wifi. A good thing is this router can also act as a wireless repeater/extender, and it works well when doing so, even if I only get 65 Mbps on average while using the extended signal, it covers the backyard and areas of my house while my main router at the front does not. Over all I'm giving this 4 stars, because if you're just a non-tech savvy person and need a good wifi network this is for you.

I'm happy with the router, although I did find setup a little difficult, I got there in the end. I found the range to be quite good, and it was able to push the wifi from within my house into my shed. I wasn't able to do this before with my previous router. I've connected this as a internet 'repeater' for my Starlink connection, and works flawlessly. I've noticed no drop in mbps between the Starlink, this router, and my devices - so I'm a happy camper.
