Indispensible!
An indispensible little thing you'll never know you needed! I've been using this clever little thing to remove rust and oxidation from all sorts of steels; high carbon, stainless and others, it's made an easy job of all of 'em!

Good Little Tool
I wasn't holding out a lot of hope, but it actually works! Dissolved the rust of the blades of my shears really well.

A bit small
Smaller than ideal, but works well on rusty knives and blades if you soak on water for about 10 minutes beforehand and apply plenty of elbow grease.

Fab
Great little stone, revealed the shiny metal underneath all the ingrained dirt as per the before and after photos above. Can be a little tricky to get into corners but you can literally use it like an eraser, ie just use the corner of the stone and rub away the dirt as if you were removing pencil from your school notebook. I wet the stone and the metal before using, then dunked the tools in water after rubbing, before drying off with kitchen towel and oiling.

Cheap and works well
I lost my Crean Mate and needed a replacement. They’re very expensive now, this isn’t and while it’s slightly thinner than the CM it works exactly as well. For the price I am delighted. It keeps my nice secateurs blemish free. Recommended.

It works.
Soak in water for 10 minutes first. I then used it on knives I use for field archery, both for removing points from targets where an arrow has broken and for the larger knives/machetes removing the effects of wood saps on steel. Cleans them up beautifully as well as removing any onset of corrosion.

really good at getting rid of stains
you don't need to know Japanese to know how to use this, when there are some helpful reviews that tell you what to do right here on amazon (btw Thank you guys!), or you could just YouTube on how to use it! Worked a charm on some stained scissors
