Description says "snip'n dip 8 .75 ounce packets", but the picture shows "hormex rooting powder #3" what is it the #8 or #3 powder & in a bottle?

There are different numbers to the powders based on how hard it is to root plants. You have to select the powder that best suits the need of the plant you're trying to root. If you look in the pictures there is a chart listing what number you need for different plants. Once you've established which number you need you have to select from the different options when powder you want.

I’m a novice. Is this “ organic”? Or used by organic farmers/ growers?vs associated with potential environmental or human health problems? Thank you.

I use these products and I am an organic gardener. When I looked into this was a lot better then some of the other cloning/rooting products. Such as the ones for cloning cannabis. Depending on the type of plant you are cloning you may not even need to use anything.

If i buy #16 for very hard to root plants, will it also work on easy to root plants? iow can you use the high strength, 8, 16 and have success no matt

The brochures that came with the product (#16) says you can go to hormex.com/plantist As for me. I have tried five times to get roots to start of on some woody stemmed plants (cannabis) & the 1st 4 failed. I took 4 cuttings from 4 different plants & put #16 on 2, #3 on1 & none on 1 Always uncovered in & or near a South window 1st Fail; Used moisture control potting mix(2wks), 2nd F. =perlite,(2wks) 3rd F. i sterilzed potting mix(3wks), 4th F. City tap water in individual jars & rotated a bubbler.(3-4wks). Succeeded when i moved away from window & used a 10"deep plastic tub filled 1/3 with tap water, an air bubbler & 2 CFL light bulbs in cheap heatlamp fixtures. After 1wk. all had 1/2-2" roots. After 2wks. all had 1 1/2-4" roots.. With or without rooting hormone, although the ones with the #16 do seem to be doing better on these woody plants. I've been propagating VIA stem cuttings for 50yrs. & have always had very good luck with any opaque container, just keep it covered in a bright area. BUT NO DIRECT SUN!! Also usually best NOT to use soil (unless sterilzed ), Perlite or sand seem to work best for me, Even if its dirty sand.

Can i use (hormex rooting powder number 8 difficult to propagate plants) for shoot (date palm) and lemon or there is any other hormone is the best ?

I am not familiar with those woods. If they are fibrous and hard, woody....then it might be the right one. It is the highest concentration that I currently use.If they are softer, green shoots, like vegetable stalks, then you may need one that is less concentrated. The active ingredient is indole 3 butyric acid. I have concentrations from .1% to .8%. Hormex #16, #30 and #45 are all progressively stronger. #45 is the strongest. Hardwoods will need the stronger ones, semi-woody will use the #8 or #16, while soft stems will use the less concentrated like #1 or #3. I use #8 because it is good for most plants that I work with. Hormex is the best product I have used, it is very successful. Good luck, I hope it works for your cuttings ! :-)

I purchased this rooting hormone hoping to propagate my rose cuttings and grow more plants, but unfortunately, it didn’t work for me at all. Despite following the instructions carefully when using it on the rose clippings, the stems quickly turned black and eventually died off one by one. I was really looking forward to successful propagation, so this outcome was quite disappointing. It may work for other plants, but it didn’t deliver the expected results for my roses.
