Description

The Banten shinobi and Grey Wolves are under attack by the students at Alya Academy. Raimei tries to talk Subaru out of fighting, but Subaru reveals that the brains of young shinobi are the main ingredient for the forbidden cure-all Daya, which she wants to use to revive the school's headmaster, who is dying of a chronic disease. They capture Raimei, Juuji, and Miharu, but Yoite's brains are judged useless and they run him through with a sword. Meanwhile, the adults are still fighting upstairs with Kouichi, but they can't get into the basement where the other kids are until Kannuki shows up, capturing Kouichi and forcing the others to surrender their weapons. Kannuki reveals his own plans to mass-produce Daya and gain huge profits for Alya Academy, and Yukimi starts the fighting again. While Kumohira tries to stop Kouichi from ruthlessly beating Kannuki, Kouichi gets shot. As he dies, he warns Kumohira that others will die in a similar manner because of him and his ideals.Down in the basement, Miharu's desire to help Yoite and prevent him from dying has unleashed te Shinra Banshou. Kumohira attacks him and gets him to stop, but then Tasuku turns on the rest of the student council, locking everyone in the basement where there is no air. He goes to get the Daya scroll from the headmaster and reveals that he has been working for the government's secret intelligence squad Kasa the whole time. Kouichi shows up, revealing that he can't die, and beats up all the Kasa guys; Tasuku kills himself so as not to be killed. Kouichi and the headmaster let everyone out of the basement, and the headmaster's life finally comes to an end. Shijima, who has been entrusted with the Daya scroll, gives it to Miharu, and in a conversation with Kouichi, she reveals that she is actually Miharu's cat Shiratama. Review: End of the Alya Academy arc - Nabari no Ou volume 7 contains chapters 33 to 38 plus some extra 4 panel comics and character profiles. It is rated Older Teen due to the language and violence. Nabari no Ou is about a teenage boy, Mihara Rokujou, who has some kind of special power called the Shinra Banshou. And because of this power, ninjas are fighting over him, they all want him on their team. But Mihara just wants to live a normal life. There are 14 volumes in total so volume 7 marks the halfway point. This volume concludes the Alya Academy arc. Some really shocking secrets are revealed and there's a lot of action. It changed my opinion about several characters. I can't really say anything else or it would spoil it. The art is beautiful. At the end of the book are 2 different rough sketches of the cover page. Even the preview for the next volume is beautiful covering 2 pages, I can't wait to read volume 8! I would recommend reading the previous volumes before starting this one. Review: Absolutely Essential Nabari - This volume concludes the Alya Academy Arc, but more importantly, it delivers hints about what is to come, startling revelations about several characters, and significant deepenings in character relationships. Though still probably not the absolute best of Kamatani's storytelling - that happens later in the series - this volume is a definite must for any Nabari fan. Strongly recommended. The end of the volume features 4 "comic strips", two character profiles, two sketches of alternative volume covers, and a pretty unique two-page teaser for the next volume.
