I picked up the mic and transmiter thinking it’d be a cute little accessory, but this 7.9g gremlin delivers full “professional production team” energy.Setup is basically nonexistent—it just connects and goes, like it has somewhere important to be. The audio is insanely crisp (48kHz, apparently it has standards), and the noise reduction actually works, which is great because my environment sounds like a reality show meltdown.Also, the range is ridiculous—I wandered way farther than I needed to and it still didn’t drop me, and the battery just keeps going (around 10 hours, which is longer than my motivation).Five stars. It’s tiny, magnetic, and somehow more reliable than most people I know. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Insta360 has done it again! I really like the easy connection process. This is highly important with a device like this, because if it didn’t work I’d simply not use it. I can capture clean audio from me or my subject at distance. Do voice over work easily and drive more attention and higher production value to my work consistently. Try this mic out with your compatible insta360 camera and you won’t be disappointed.

The clip works recording quality is fine. The connectivity works. The range is really good. The ease of use is good and the sound quality works for what for the purpose it was designed for.

My only problem, and it's a small one, is that it doesn't connect automatically when turned on. I have to go to the settings in the camera, and turn on Bluetooth every time I use it. Then it shows up on the screen, I click it, and it's connected. Takes a few seconds extra. Otherwise, it's great. Moving the microphone up to my helmet, instead of using the built in mic on the camera, which is mounted to my handlebar, cuts out a lot of road noise, and really increases the sound quality on my e-bike rides.

This is absolutely the way to go with the Insta360. I have the x4 and the x5 and I've wanted an external mic for a little while. I tried a cheaper alternative and it was total crap. This one is worth it. It comes with a nice little carry package, a fuzzy mike cover, and several magnetic clips to hold it to your clothes. What I DON'T like is that there's no physical way to tie off the mike to something. I got this for extreme sports and even though there's a magnetic clip for the microphone, I just don't trust them.

Works well and pairs well with the Insta 360 line of cameras. Build quality is good and sounds very clean. It's the perfect size with great portability and good value for the money.

Very impressed with the pick up quality of this microphone. Works great with the Insta360 X5.

Super compact and great sound quality. The mic connects to the X5 seamlessly and has multiple mounting options. It also includes a wind buffer ring and compact carrying case. You have options to select either sound track from the onboard mic or this BT mic which improves functionality. I have only used a few times so I am not sure of the overall battery life, but it made it through one X5 extended battery and charged quickly out of the box. I am concerned about losing it, especially when recording on a motorcycle or OneWheel, so I would prefer if there was a snap-mount or mounting loop for a safety lanyard. The magnet mount seems strong but it would still be easy to knock off and lose - its only about the diameter of a US Quarter.

Tres bon produit. L'appairage s'est fait en 5 secondes avec mon insta360 X5. Je suis tres content d'avoir choisi ce micro. J'ai lu que pour l'insta360 x5, beaucoup de micro sans fils ne se fonctionne pas, par exemple les RØDE Wireless semblent poser des problemes du coup, j ai preferer choisir un produit insta360 et je ne suis vraiment pas deçu ! le Top ! En plus avec le soft d edition video, on peux mixer le volume entre le micro de la camera et celui du micro sans-fil. Je l utilise sur mon velo avec la bonette et aucun souffle du au vent !!! Je suis tres heureux !
