Solid, Reliable, Worth Every Penny
I have used Windows tablets with cellular service for years and was reluctant to purchase a Surface because they weren't available from my cell provider. I wish I had just bought a Surface and used the hotspot on my phone when I was away from home. The performance when compared to the Samsung Galaxy Book and the Lenovo Flex 5 I had previously is by far superior. Yes, those were older models but even when new they never performed like this Surface. If you haven't used a Windows tablet before don't take my statement about performance to mean it's the equivalent of a desktop or laptop. It wonโt replace a computer that is built for high performance. If you donโt need that a Surface might be worth it for you. If you go to a big box store and look at what they have for sale you will notice quickly that they have both laptops and desktops that are less expensive. So, why buy a Surface when you can get a regular computer for less money? 1. Value โ Yes, you can buy an inexpensive desktop PC or a laptop for less money than a Surface costs. In my experience those PCโs give you just what you paid for: mediocre performance and poor-quality hardware that doesnโt last. The Surface is a well-built PC and out performs any of the lower end systems I have had to use or repair in the past few years. 2. Portability - Yes, laptops are portable but they are generally bulkier. I have to carry a large laptop bag with me when I take the laptop out of the house. I can drop my surface in a tablet sleeve to protect it in my backpack along with whatever else I need and not have to carry two bags and feel like I'm performing weight training. I still use my laptop away from home when I am going to where I will be using it for a significant time and need a screen large enough to keep multiple documents open and visible at the same time but that is rare. 3. Takes less space on a table or desk - The Surface Pro 2-in-1 doesn't take up a lot of space. I purchased the removable keyboard and use it when I am where space isn't a problem but the Surface shines when space is limited. I keep a small, folding Bluetooth keyboard with me for when I am not going to be doing serious amounts of typing. I play role playing games and use the Surface when and run a game and when I am one of the players. With several of us around a table space is often limited. Even a medium sized laptop is too large to use in most cases. Using a small keyboard that is not connected allows me to keep the Surface on the table and move the keyboard out of the way as needed. 4. Battery life - Microsoft says the battery lasts 16 hours and I've not gotten that much out use of one charge but the Surface outlasts my Dell Inspiron by several hours. I've not had the battery run out on me when I was away from home. As long as I remember to charge it at night when the battery is less than 30% charge I don't worry about having to find a place to plug it in. 4. Compatibility โ This is for any of you who have used an older 64 bit Windows tablet. The biggest problem I had with my Galaxy Book and then the Flex 5 was that they ran a heavily modified version of Windows. I could not find anti-virus software other than Windows Defender that would run on one of them because of an incompatibility with the processors. I also had to install 32 bit versions of most other software because of this and had to do without if there wasnโt one available. Iโve not tried to install anything that will run on an Intel CPU that didnโt install and run well on the Surface. Iโm sure there is going to be some software out there that refuses to install but so far I havenโt found it. I could go on and on but the bottom line is that I am more than pleased with my Surface. This model is worth every penny I spent on it. It has taken every task I have thrown at it and not failed to handle them even once.

You get what you paid for!
Excellent! Excellent!! Excellent!!! This device is second to none in this category. Not only is it a little powerhouse that's in the high-end category but it's aesthetically pleasing to look at and provides trouble-free computing. I decided to upgrade from my Surface Pro 7 which I've had for quite some years (it's still fully functional). Its size promotes mobility and on-the-go use. Connectivity and build quality are exceptional. This device boasts superior hardware and software. The build quality is very good. Boot up time is excellent. Processing is quick. Multiple tasks can be performed simultaneously with the RAM included and overheating has not been an issue. Battery life is excellent. Performing all routine tasks - productivity tasks, web surfing, media consumption - does not drain the battery. I can easily go two days without charging and the battery will not be depleted. Sound quality is not lacking and speakers sound well-balanced, making media and entertainment use enjoyable. Not used for gaming so I cannot comment on that. I completed the device with the matching keyboard and slim pen.

Fast enough for almost everything, thin, light, and has great battery life.
I'll start off with what didn't work for me. As someone who has been using Microsoft surface devices since the Surface RT this update turned out to be great for every single computing task except when you try to edit Raw files in Lightroom classic or Lightroom. it took an extremely long time for Denoise to clean up a photo. Any user who is purchasing this device for editing photos on the go needs to keep this in mind. its perfect for reading books, surfing, watching movies, getting any productive work done but for creative work you need to temper your expectations. I haven't tried editing 4k videos yet but I have a feeling that it won't be able to do it efficiently but if someone else has had a better experience please do let me know. The screen is good, it's not an OLED but if you can get this device on sale you won't feel bad about it. 90hz isn't something that bothered me at all. The battery life is phenomenal. You won't have to worry about it at all during a typical work day unless you end up running a lot of graphically intense programs.. which you probably won't since this has an 8 core processor. I haven't played any games on it and don't plan on as I didn't buy it for that. I bought it as a replacement for an Asus ROG Z13 but you can't really compare the two (The ROG Z13 is more powerful, heavier, generates a lot of heat, has terrible battery life and their keyboard that comes in the box didn't last for more than a year). They should have included a charger, but honestly that doesn't matter because I'd rather have a charger with more USB plug points than a charger with just one. Not having a Micro Sd slot or removable storage is a drawback, and I think they need to stop following Apple in this aspect. Having two usb C slots is a good thing. My main goal was to have a Surface that can do anything I need it to do while being thin, and light. Also the fact that the device is sealed shut, and doesn't need a fan for cooling is great. The Prism emulation layer for X86 programs works well, and I haven't run into any issues so far. Also I didn't find app or program compatibility to be a major issue, but I don't know if that will be the case for others. I'd suggest this device for anyone who wants a Surface that looks great, is fast for almost all tasks, is easy to carry around ,has unbelievable battery life, and is the perfect size. A great device with certain limitations for creative work. I hope the next Surface pro 12 fixes the issues mentioned in this review.

Excellent 2-in-1 for work and everyday use
Iโve been using the Microsoft Surface Pro (2025) for everyday work and entertainment, and overall Iโm very satisfied with it. The device is lightweight, compact, and very well built. The 12" touchscreen is sharp and responsive, great both for productivity and media consumption. Performance is smooth for daily tasks like Excel, Word, web browsing, emails, and streaming. Battery life is solid and easily lasts a full working day with mixed use. With the keyboard and Slim Pen, the Surface Pro truly feels like a flexible 2-in-1 device: a tablet when you need portability and a laptop when you need to get real work done. The pen is accurate and comfortable for notes and light drawing. Windows 11 runs smoothly, and all updates install without issues. Overall, this is a great choice for anyone looking for a portable, modern Windows device for work, study, and everyday tasks. Highly recommended

Incredibly FAST for a VERY SHORT time. Has all the durability of frost on a Florida windshield.
JUNK, DO NOT BUY. DISPLAY DIED AFTER ONLY FEW WEEKS. Only used it on a kitchen table, a bump of the table caused it to tip face down on the attached MS keyboard, and the display never came back..... Still works with an external display. I bought it from Microsoft and got it delivered to my front door. But the only return method under warranty requires me to take it to UPS on the other side of town. There are other Computers I can buy for less than the cost of an UBER trip to UPS to return this one. WISH I COULD GIVE IT ZERO STARS The one good thing''... they didn't have a live operator answering their support lines , I probably would have been hung up on. There, I did it! That many be my first ever negative review. ... Sorry, but I had to do it!

Incredibly handy and portable
I LOVE this tablet. It's my on the go computer. I had the original Surface Pro 2 that reached the end of its time with the latest Windows software, but still was running great. This is a noble replacement and a perfect addition for anyone that runs a PC laptop because it's so infinitely PORTABLE. A must have is the genuine keyboard that goes with it.

My Microsoft tablet is the best!!
This is a really top notch tablet. Convertible if you want to buy the extra keyboard. I bought this because I was using my phone for so much that I was getting RUSTY on Windows. Now I am getting back up to speed on Windows and enjoying the tablet. Itโs also much easier on the eyes.
