This shelving systemis well built with easy to follow instructions and well labeled parts. Sturdy and attractive. It was a bit difficult to get all pipes flush against the wall and I had to uncrea a few to get the proper distance from outer pipe to wall. I had to add a bit more length at the bottom as I wanted to secure to the stud and the flange mount would have hit an outlet. I went to H-Depot with a piece of the unit and found piping that would fit and a connector. Worked like a charm though not nearly as astetically pleasing pipe. I chose to set up the shelving with footings hitting the ground. I have tall ceilings where it's placed and couldn't a fix to the ceiling. I love the look and know anything I load will put slightly less tension on the stud and drywall mounted wall pieces. I found that it's unnecessary to rip down 12" boards. No need to go to the trouble. My boards in the picture are 1" thick and 69" long. I think it's look better with thicker boards but I wasn't going to spend a lot and go to a specialty lumber yard. I could have added one more shelf on top as there were enough shelf securing rings. I stained regular pine planks with Early American Transparent Water-Based Fast Drying Interior Wood Stain and 8 oz was enough for four 69" boards. I then covered with polyurethane. The spray kind is easy just make sure they let it cure for 24h before putting things on it. To secure the boards, I dry fit everything and marked where the connectors would fit. I used a 5/64 bit to drill pilot holes before placing the screws as this made it easier to install once placed on the shelving unit.

Purchased these for an inset area in two closets. These were absolutely perfect. We purchased the wood. My husband easily installed these, attaching to wall studs, and placed the wood on the posts. These are steel pipes and are heavy. We purchased another set for a second closet. Instructions were clear and straight forward.

love the iron pipes. I use a 2×10 as a shelf and very sturdy for bottles, books, ect. Have recommended to others for use. you can go to home depot and buy other pipes same size but price of these is way cheaper even if you replace 1 or 2 pipe heights.

Great cheap way to create shelving. Easy to assemble although aligning the pipes by screwing them tightly was frustrating. They continually weren’t aligned and we had to leave a couple loose. The plastic drywall anchors were terrible and we had to use our own. Due to the weight we knew the shelves would be holding we screwed into the studs for a sturdier hold. Overall, I LOVE the look of the shelving and would buy again.

Once I figured out how to install, it's good. The directions were very unclear.
