After wasting time and money on multiple “HDMI 2.1” and “Ultra High Speed” copper cables (including well-reviewed ones), all of which failed with HDR enabled, I finally accepted the reality: at 5 meters, passive cables are mostly marketing. The RUIPRO Gen4A fiber optic HDMI is the only cable that worked reliably. It handles 4K HDR at 165Hz without flickering, signal drops, black screens, or audio issues. Rock solid, even under sustained use. This confirms what most listings don’t admit: many HDMI claims are advertising, not engineering. If you actually need high bandwidth HDR at longer distances, fiber is not optional. it’s the solution. Expensive compared to copper, but cheaper than buying and returning multiple “certified” cables that don’t deliver. Also surprisingly thin and flexible for such a quality. Highly recommended if you care about stability instead of labels.

Very impressed with this cable. It worked perfectly for my setup - 8K @ 60hz, HDR and VRR / Gsync from PC to AVR Receiver then on to TV. Installation was easy and the removable heads a good idea. I bought this cable as I was getting a lot of EMI from PC GPU over a copper HDMI cable. The interference was causing a buzzing noise in my speakers, this was even when watching something else from a different device! The fiber optic cable electrically isolated the PC and solved the buzzing!!! Very impressed!

Cannot recommend highly enough. Beautifully packaged premium product that solved what I had thought was an unsolvable problem. My projector is 20m from my AV receiver and was getting ‘no signal’ from another (cheaper) optical HDMI cable. I was convinced the projector was at fault and was on the verge of shelling out for a new one. I bought this cable as a last ditch attempt and it worked straight away, I needed to connect the usb power at both ends. Now have a solid 4k link without any dropouts - if you need a long run hdmi don’t look any further than this but of kit. Would give 6 stars if I could!

I originally had some 5m high quality HDMI cables running from my cabinet through the wall to my tv but given the were running parallel to a power and coaxial cable I was getting single noise. These cables have completely solved my issues. I have extensively tested at 4k50Hz but don’t have a 120Hz source. The cables do stick out a bit but this is what it looks like on an LG b8 OLED, it can’t be seen unless looking at from the side. If you power the cable from the TV, the tv won’t turn on when you turn on the source but if you power separately from the TV I can confirm it does.

Really great quality product. Ran it to connect tv to av equipment that are opposite end of the room. The cable if thin to easier to pull through. The detachable heads means it's easier to upgrade

Only tested at 4K 60Hz for now... but works perfectly. Powers on fine with the TV using the USB cable. This was pretty much the only 48Gbps cable I could find with detachable ends as well as a black cable. Much cheaper than other places selling separate MPO cables and HDMI converters. The description says the cable is armoured but indoor rated only... I've used it outdoors anyway to go from the PC upstairs, out down the exterior wall and back into the living room to the TV. It's survived fine out there so far. The cable is only 2-3mm thick and very bendy (although you do need to avoid sharp bends or kinks). If it deteriorates then the fibre cable itself can be replaced with another 10m MPO, whilst keeping the HDMI converters in place.

Der Preis ist zwar recht hoch, aber das Gerät hat mein Problem endlich gelöst: Das Brummen auf meinem Subwoofer ist komplett verschwunden. Setup: Computer (HTPC) → AV-Receiver (NAD) Zuvor hatte ich die Verbindung ausschließlich über TOSLINK hergestellt. Das funktionierte zwar störungsfrei, unterstützt jedoch kein Dolby Surround 7.1. Sobald ich stattdessen ein HDMI-Kupferkabel oder ein HDMI-Glasfaser-Hybridkabel verwendet habe, trat ein deutlich hörbares Brummen auf dem Subwoofer auf. Mit diesem Gerät ist das Problem nun vollständig behoben. Die Empfangsseite benötigt einen USB-Port zur Spannungsversorgung – mein NAD-Receiver stellt diesen bereit, und der Port bleibt zum Glück auch im Standby aktiv. Dadurch funktioniert alles zuverlässig ohne zusätzliche Netzteile. Fazit: Teuer, aber in meinem Fall absolut die Lösung!

Great cable! I tested it before I ran it behind the wall. The picture quality was terrific. I watched snippets of Lord of The Rings and The Dark Knight in 4k. The black levels and color were exceptional. Maybe it's in my head but it did seem a bit more rich. The eARC works great as well. I have it powered at the TV so the TV remote controls the volume to my AVR. The cable was easy to run behind the wall. Overall it's really flexible and seems durable. The ends stick out a bit and I couldn't place my AV rack as far back as I would like because it sticks out. The concept of switching the heads is terrific for future proofing. If I could give it 4.5 I would. If th connectors were a tad more flexible then I would give it 5 stars.

The product has been fantastic so far! I’m using it with my Nvidia Shield Pro, Denon 11.2 receiver, and a 4K laser projector setup. The main reason I purchased this product was to resolve issues with my old HDMI cable, which was routed through the ceiling and couldn’t support HDR10. This new product caught my attention because it supports all the latest standards and delivers uncompressed data at speeds of up to 48Gbps. With those specs, I knew I had to give it a try. So far, it’s been a great solution to my issue. I’ll provide updates regarding quality or any potential issues as I continue using it. -UPDATE- I have been using the product for the last 2 months without issues or concerns. I am now able to watch HDR10+ source without any degradation in picture quality or loss of picture.
