I was worried I wouldn't like this backpack but I ended up loving it
I was worried I wouldn't like this backpack but I ended up loving it.I purchased the Herschel Settlement backpack and I had to return it because the lining in the backpack bled onto the fabric, it was a mess! But if your deciding between which one to get, get this backpack. It's so much better.I returned it & with the money I bought this backpack. It's a great discount for a quality backpack. It feels pretty durable, the fabric feels like nylon. It has no lining either. To me the fabric seems like it would be waterproof, but I haven't tested it or been in the rain with it.The backpack has lots of room! I could fit: a 1 inch binder, 2 regular sized journals, a thicker 1-inch journal, and 2 books. The very outside pocket fits my calculator perfectly. The middle pocket has inner pockets that can hold your phone or pens & pencils. Speaking of pens & pencils, there is a pocket by the handle that you can put pencils into. However, it's not too deep; the pencils may fall out of your not two careful. The pocket for the laptop is awesome too, it's padded on the bottom and sides. The padding is nothing amazing though, keep in mind the backpack is very lightweight. The straps are perfect as well. Not too thick. This is an amazing backpack, you can't go wrong.I feel it's better then the Herschel backpack being that it has better quality. I like the look and style and how useful it is. Overall I'm happy with my purchase.

Great Product!
I'm a freshman in college and I bought this back pack about three weeks ago and it's extremely useful. The inside of the "true blue" colored bag is like a robins egg blue and it's really pretty. The bag also comes with a kipling water bottle which is really nice. The bag is super durable and the zippers are really nice. It feels kind of like a tent (texture wise) on the outside. The inside has a divider and then a laptop sleeve that fits my 15.5" laptop comfortably. The straps are padded and the pockets are a good size on the front. There's special pockets for little things and pencils, and a pocket on the very top of the bag that also holds pencils and pens and is really nice. The inside of the bag is waterproof just like the outside and that's great for the water bottle that comes with it for when it sweats. However the one and only thing that I don't like about this bag is that there's no outside pocket to put your water bottle on so if your bag is really full, you'll have to carry it in your hand to keep your stuff from getting wet, which is somewhat of a hassle. For me at least. It's a little slouchy as well. Doesn't stand up straight as shown in the picture if nothing's in it to hold it up. Overall I love it and my only complaint is about the lack of a bottle holder. I would definitely recommend it. An excellent buy for the price with many uses.

Construction from one bag to another slightly differ so be aware. Otherwise an excellent backpack.
Kipling Seoul is one of the best backpack in Kipling's line. I own this and Alcatrez II model which is also excellent. I use Alcatrez model mostly during air travel but this Seoul model is perfect backpack for daily use as well as weekend outings to theme parks and beaches. The size, style and construction are perfect for those occasions, whereas I find Kipling's other models such as challenger II as being too small and not as convenient as this one.HOWEVER, Kipling is lacking in consistency in the construction of this model. I ordered true blue and as in the picture expecting white thread piping and white Kipling trade mark. What I received was black thread piping with a dark trade mark. Also, I've noticed that front zipper opened oppositely from the picture going right to left, instead of left to right. Also the middle zipper is one way action instead of dual action as shown in the photo. Upon careful examination of other colors, I've noticed some were constructed like the one I received and others were not. I just accepted the one I received as either older or newer version hoping the later. If these slight discrepancies does not bothers you then this bag would be perfect for anyone.I still believe Kipling Seoul is the best backpack in Kipling line and this bag will serve you well, all with style.

Teriffic backpack. Nobody makes a true blue like Kilping. Georgeous!
Bought this as a graduation gift for my neice who is going to nursing school. Really well made with TONS of storage space for all the things students love/need to carry. Laptop/tablet storage is perfect and well protected. True Blue is my favorite of the Kipling colors, next, the Tango Red (which is hard to find) and then the black. Nice, deep, true colors that stay that way after years of use. I have been buying Kipling for 20-25 years now and still use first purses and wallets I bought - well made, durable products that last and even my older purses are still in style. I have three pieces of "soft" luggage - carryalls and clothes bags - in a beautiful hunter green, that I don't see available anymore. Durable, practical and great for travel. Cleans easily with soap and water if soiled, but not much stains or sticks to this fabric . Highly recommend all their products.

Perfect backpack for school kids (with small exception)
Great backpack. Sturdy and well made. Good color. Only wish is that it had an outer side pouch to hold a water bottle.Otherwise, it great. Straps are well padded and comfortable, the zippers are all sturdy and work well even after 1 year of near constant use by a middle school kid.Size is great. Fits everything we need.
