I've had better sleep with this extended release low dose rather than the 1 mg tab I was taking previously. My fitbit also shows REM and deep sleep are greater.

I had been buying 1mg timed release melatonin tablets from another brand but for some reason they became unavailable. I didn't need or want a higher dosage. These are a slightly lower dosage, one tablet is strong enough for me and the 6 hour timed release period seems about right. I'm satisfied.

My problem is waking up during the night and not being able to fall back asleep. Recently I took a 1 mg extended-release tablet from a different brand and felt tired and kind of sick all the next day. Then I started using Life Extension, starting with their 300 mcg, gradually increasing. Last night I took 2 of these 750 mcg extended-release and slept well, and had no residual effect after getting up this morning.

Look for Life Extension 3mg or 10mg dosages. My RN cousin says they usually prescribe 10mg in most cases. So, avoid the 750mcp size. Good product, just Low Octane.

I would get drowsy for a few minutes but then it would pass. I would wake up tired as heck though!

My doctor told me to take a low dose of melatonin < 1mg, and avoid the mega dose versions that you see all over the internet. This version is perfect to offer both a low dose and time released for sustained levels. It helps me get to sleep and keeps me asleep. On those difficult nights if I add in some CBD it really works synergistically to make me tired and keep me asleep.

Life Extension is a great company with fantastic products. I was used to taking 3 mg Melatonin timed release but, due to lack of availability of Melatonin, they decreased the dosage to mcg. Micrograms are smaller the milligrams, so I have to take 4 tablets to equal 3 mg dose. Sadly, 1 bottle only lasts 15 days. Good luck and sleep well.
