Major improvement over older, cheaper model
The power button ultimately failed on the old reader. This model automatically turns on when you unlatch the probe. The time-out feature and auto on when picked up is wonderful. No need to wipe the probe before latching it back in the slot. I find the Temps to read accurately, but the instructions on how to calibrate it over time is handy.

My Favorite Meat Thermometer!
This is by far my favorite meat thermometer! It’s quick, accurate, and super easy to use while cooking. I love the backlit display and that it works well no matter which hand I’m using. Makes checking temperatures fast and stress-free. Great quality kitchen tool!
