Katushiro Otomo's masterpiece AKIRA is simply the most impressive hard sci-fi comic book ever drawn. The sheer scope and scale of the action is unbelievable. The detail in his linework is unparalleled by any artist in Japan or abroad. The action sequences that come one after the other throughout the book are incredibly paced and planned. If this book were to be filmed as a live action movie, it wouldn't be possible, not even with CGI. It's simply the biggest and most impressive action story I've ever seen. And there's character too. And humor. And humanity. And philosophy. And unimaginable violence that shows just how horrible human nature can be when it's unleashed. You might think this set is expensive but it's worth every penny. The art and story have yet to be matched in he decades since it was published. AKIRA is the finest manga ever published, and certainly amongst the finest works of sequential storytelling as well.

子供の頃から好きだったが一冊が高額で我慢してました。今では娘もファンでハードブックのコンプリートBOXを見つけ即買い（笑）したものの読もうとしたらAll English読めん（泣）。でも娘に日本語版も買って勉強したら？と言われて日本語版も買いアキラ満喫してます。懐かしいヤンマガの表紙画や作画もみれ、おまけも付いてきたので30年来のファンとしては大満足の品物でした。でも買う前にわかりやすく英語です表記が欲しい人もいるかも？

It feels like an ancient runic you accidentally stumble upon and feel unworthy to even touch it because of it’s overwhelming beauty. I had to sell a kidney to buy it but I think it’s worth it cause if THIS isn’t peak I don’t know what is.

It's a classic Manga. Hollywood is trying to make a live-action movie of it for years now. It came well packed and in mint condition. Thank U and keep up the good work.
