I've learned that the company Life Cykel offers their liquid tinctures made through a double extraction process which provides a superior way for accessing and retaining more of the mushrooms goodness. By taking these mushroom extracts in liquid form, it is claimed to absorb straight into the system in 1-5 minutes to absorb, vs up to 20-30 minutes for capsules and tablets to break down before the body can absorb the active ingredients. Also the body can utilize up to 98% of liquid extracts vs 39-53% of capsules. It is easy to take each of these tinctures as suggested. I shake the bottle well and measure 2 ml of the liquid from the dropper and easily add to water, tea, coffee or your smoothie daily. They suggest and I like to also refrigerate the bottles after opening to retain the freshness. For the gummies for energy and focus too, you can take 2 gummies daily for 5 consecutive days. I like knowing that these products are grown, made and packed here in the USA and is 3rd-Party lab tested for purity and potency. What an incredible product! This Bio-Hacker set comes with 6 different single entity mushroom extract tinctures including Turkey Tail, Cordyceps, Chaga, Lions Mane, Reishi, and Shitake. The dose of each of these tinctures is 2ml or approximately two half droppers fills of the tincture and each 30ml bottle of tincture contained 15 servings. Each dose of extract provides 1012mg of active proprietary ingredient. These mushroom tinctures were some of the most effective and highest quality mushroom tinctures I have tried to date, and most of the tinctures provided a noticeable benefit with the first dose. The Reishi, Cordyceps, and Lions Mane were my favorites of the bunch. The Reishi and Lions Mane Extracts noticeably improved my sleep, helping me get more restful and longer duration sleep, and the Cordyceps was an absolute powerhouse, helping me not only to focus, but to remain energized throughout the day and ready to take on whatever life could throw at me. These extracts are flavored with Kakadu plum; notoriously rich in Vitamin C and it imparts a pleasant fruity flavor to the slightly bitter product which was easy to take straight, or diluted in a beverage. These products are full spectrum double extracts, combining the extracts of both the fruiting body and the mycelium (mushroom equivalent of roots), are Non-GMO and Gluten Free but contain 24% Alcohol. Aside from being a great supplement, this would make a great gift set for a supplement enthusiast and has very elegant packaging and even come with a sample pouch of energizing mushroom gummies which were just as high quality. The taste is ok and they are easy to take, I honestly have not seen any difference in my energy level, although they are a good health benefits product, and I have felt good using them so I am guessing they are effective for health just not energy.

At 1oz per bottle with about 15 servings (or up to 30 if you stretch it to 1ml dose- you actually still get over the tonic dose this way), you get a very solid supply for the price. I’ve been adding the tinctures to my morning tea, and the taste is surprisingly palatable compared to other mushroom extracts I’ve tried. I notice a difference in clarity and energy, particularly with lion’s mane and cordyceps. The included gummies are also convenient for on-the-go focus and energy (about half the caffeine of a cup of coffee), which is just right for me since coffee can feel like too much. The quality feels high, and I appreciate that these are made in both the US and Australia. Knowing they’re lab-tested for purity adds extra confidence. For the amount and potency you get, the price point is more than fair. I have Crohns and Colitis, which I successfully treat natrually with 1.5-2.5g turkey tail each day.

My first impression of this set was that the box was overly extravagant, but everything was really well packaged. The labels are really well designed and make the product appear very professional. I added a drop of one to start my day at work and once before the gym to test out whether or not my focus and stamina would be improved. I did feel like my focus was better, but it was one time so I'll have to try again and report bank. Now for why it only got two stars; on the back of each bottle, you'll see that the ingredients include approximately 24% alcohol. Now, I'm fine with alcohol, but I know folks that are sober or who personally do not use alcohol, and there's no indication that this product contains alcohol, so that could really be problematic. I will still continue to use the product, especially excited to try the one for rest and sleep (reishi), but I think they need to do a much better job with minimizing packaging and clearly indicating the presence of alcohol.

I like the concept and the variety of mushrooms included, and the packaging feels high-quality. However, the strong alcohol taste is quite off-putting and may be a dealbreaker for some. I haven’t experienced any noticeable side effects, but also haven’t seen clear benefits in terms of energy or mental clarity yet. It might take more time to see real effects, so I’ll continue using it and update if anything changes.
