Liquid Lash Extensions Mascara, Rich Black Shade

I am 54 years old with extremely sensitive skin (radiation dermatitis) and even more sensitive eyes, as in I've had to give up all the mascaras I've counted on for so many years. My hair is mixture of light blonde and white, so black mascara looks too harsh on me (if I could wear black, I'd wear Jones Road mascara, as I really like the formula and it doesn't bother my eyes). That said, this mascara is outstanding, with a bit of a learning curve--at least for me. I purchased the Crystal (Brown Black) and it's an especially beautiful color--maybe there's just a hint of a plum undertone--I don't know, but the hue does a little something extra for my regular blue eyes that other brown mascaras don't do. Additionally, it makes my eyelashes look really long, which they aren't. However, since I have super-fine, super-straight hair, I have to remember to do two key things when applying this mascara: 1) Scrape excess product from the brush back into the tube, and 2) only apply to the tops of my lashes, NOT from root to tip--if I apply this mascara from root to tip, it weighs them down and they can't hold curl--my lashes are just too fine. (I put a really good curl in them first and then only apply mascara to the top part of the curl.) If I get too much product on my lashes, I brush it away with a clean spoolie immediately, while the product is still wet. Once this mascara dries, I haven't found any way to manipulate it, either by curling it or adding more mascara--it clumps and looks spidery--you can only work with it when it's still wet. You can remove product with a spoolie or build it with more coats, but you have to do everything while it's still wet. If you're unhappy with it once it dries, it's best to remove it and start again. Removal is easy. I just use a tiny bit of mild soap and water on my fingers, run them over my lashes, let that sit for a minute and then the mascara slides right off--no pulling or rubbing or irritation to eyes or lashes. I usually put soap and water on my lashes first and then wash the rest of my face; that way, my mascara goes with all my other makeup when I rinse. Honestly, I didn't believe the hype about Thrive mascara, but the fact is I was running out of options and didn't want to do without mascara altogether. I have to admit, it was worth opening my wallet. Wishing you luscious lashes...

This is the ONLY kind of Mascara I will use. It comes off easily, never smears, and I don't have to worry about losing eyelashes. You can build it up as much as you want if you want fake eyelash look. I don't do that, I just love that it defines the lashed I have and makes them look so much longer.

I absolutely love this mascara! It makes my lashes look noticeably longer, fuller, and more defined without getting clumpy or heavy. I especially love how it separates each lash and gives that “lash extension” look. It also stays on really well throughout the day without smudging, but comes off surprisingly easily with warm water. Definitely one of my new favorite mascaras and I will be purchasing it again! 💕

If you have the problem like I do when regular mascara transfers to your lids, this mascara is for you! It really lengthens and stays on all day! This is my second tube and it is worth the high price to me because it lasts a really long time. I love that when I cleanse my face at night there’s no pigment left on my face because it easily comes off. Try it out this may be a good alternative to regular mascara.

I had been hooked on Too Faced better than sex waterproof mascara for many years. I ran out of it and went digging through my makeup bag one day and came across a little travel size of this Thrive mascara (I think I bought it through some kind of Facebook advertising a long time ago but never used it). I thought I was only going to use it for a couple days, just until the new tube of my usual mascara came in. It gave a more subtle natural look than the Too Faced because it seems a little more liquidy versus being so thick that it looks like I'm wearing false lashes, but it still gives them a pretty generous extension. I wasn't totally sold on it at first, because I do tend to lean more towards wanting them looking like false lashes, but after going to bed still wearing it the next morning I woke up with eyelashes that still looked surprisingly perfect, and I've been totally obsessed with it ever since. I love the way it comes off in tubes rather than trying to wipe off a gooey smudge that the Too Faced waterproof turns into, I'm sure the regular Too Faced is easier to remove but wearing makeup dries out my eyes and I'm constantly using eyedrops so waterproof is necessary for me. This mascara lasts all day (and the next!) without needing to be reapplied, I dont wake up with one side all clumped together, and removing it is as easy as washing my face. It seems to be much more gentle on my natural lashes and has actually helped them to grow longer due to not needing to continuously wipe them super hard to get the makeup off as with the other waterproof mascara. I'm not even sure if this is considered waterproof but it's good enough for me. I haven't been swimming with it on yet, but if it gets wet and I keep from touching it it stays. I can imagine if I do wear this swimming I will be able to easily wipe it off in the pool without worrying about looking like the grudge.

This mascara makes my eyelashes look a mile long but still really nicely separated. I like a really clean look and this mascara achieves that perfectly - it makes my eyes stand out but doesn't look overly makeup-y. The crystal shade is a perfect dark brown that's not harsh but doesn't pull too warm on my fair cool skin tone. It's super easy to remove with just water, but it takes a little manual effort so it stays intact if your eyes get watery or if you wear it to the beach or something. I really like it, this is definitely going to be repurchased many times.

So, I’ve heard rumor that this is one of the holy grails of mascara, so I tried it. First, I was pleased with size of the mascara wand. Side rant: It annoys the heck out me to try to put mascara on when the wand tip is like a paintbrush it’s so big. Second, it did elongate and thicken my lashes. But, it didn’t look very natural. I’ve added pics for comparison of my trusty L’Oréal Telescopic mascara (2nd pic). One definitely looks more natural. And with the price being about 1/2 the cost of the Thrive mascara, I can’t say I’m a convert. I’ll definitely hold onto to it for stage purposes since it can build to a more dramatic look, which is what I want when I’m on stage. But, for every day use, I’ll stick to my L’Oréal mascara.

10/10 product for me! Came within just 2-3 days from ordering. I have used the black thrive mascara for years. I love how it goes on & extends the lash without clumping. It also flakes off and so there is never smudging when removing. If I go in the water I just rub my fingers through my lashes and it removes the mascara with no color smear. Since I have blonde hair & blue eyes I wanted to try the brown “crystal” mascara to see if would bring out the color of my eyes more. Very impressed with the brown color! It’s the perfect shade! Would recommend to blondes or anyone who likes brown cosmetics.

Ce mascara est super. La brosse sépare bien les cils et les allonge. J'ai les yeux très sensibles et je le tolère bien. Je le recommande fortement. Pour ma part, il en vaut le prix.

The only down side is that it some particles and flakes falls in my eyes

Perfect for sparse eyelashes. Easy to apply. Easy to remove. Worth the extra cost. Apply lightly.

Super mascara, pas besoin de démaquillant juste un peu d’eau avec les doigts ou une débarbouillette. J’avais tendance à toujours avoir des spot noir en dessous des yeux avec les mascaras normaux. Avec celui là, jamais aucun spot.
