I have some ceiling mounted fixtures in my basement where bare bulbs are pretty much all you do. I bought these extensions and some pendant light covers and it makes a world of difference. These are a perfect fit into my fixtures and I had them easily installed in seconds. I really appreciate that there is a notch that fit my pendant cover perfectly and the additional neck screw that came with it to hold the cover in place. Now I can replace a light bulb easily without interfering with the cover. The extensions appear to be heavy duty, but time will tell. They function well and I haven't had any flickering issues or anything else that may appear to be an issue in the future. I'm super happy with the new aesthetic these allowed me to create.

It was just as I expected and it arrived very quickly.

I purchased a lamp at a thrift store. It did not have the globe and I could not find a globe that would fit on it because of the depth and shape of the holder. This item was buried deep in Amazon's options and I only found it through a lot of digging. This raises the height of the receptacle enough and has a little platform that the globe sits on. It comes with retaining rings to hold the globe securely in place. It is well made and does the job.

Work great. Maybe a little taller than one would like.

I got this to work with an existing shade with no way to attach it to the socket but the ring was smaller than I needed and wouldn't hold the shade in the socket. Worked real easy and would have worked great if the attachment ring was a little larger.

Bought these so I could install some shades on two light fixtures. The lightbulbs were exposed which is a safety violation for our local rental code. It comes with a lock ring which allows me to sandwich the shade up and secure it into the fixture. Big time saver for me. I wish they came in packs of 2 or 4, 3 seemed like a weird number.

These are a great way to change the look of a basic ceramic light fixture. I used these to hang lampshades and change the look of my fixtures without having to install a new light fixture. I'm also going to use one of these to create a lamp for a power outage or where we need a little extra light (kitchen sink) using a rechargable bulb. I'm just waiting for my lampshade I ordered...
