It is definitely tungsten
Yep, it's tungsten... it killed a zirconium dioxide crucible.... but when made the anode in a beaker of NaOH, all but 2.3 grams dissolved in a matter of 18-20hrs

Just right
Just interesting -- same density as gold (19.2 vs 19.3 g/cm). Weighs about right on my kitchen scale, so I suppose it's the real thing. A 1cc sample does not feel ponderously heavy -- perhaps a 1 cubic inch sample would yield a greater impression (I suppose it would have to, speaking physically). Very sharp corners and edges, labelled on two sides, and comes with a good size plastic box (maybe the box has a purpose: don't put those sharp edges on something they may scratch, and don't drop it on a hardwood floor, or a toe -- very sharp).

Tungsten cube
Packaging could be better, but the cube itself is well machined and its dimensions suggest it’s 99.9% pure.

Plenty worthy,
Deceivingly heavy, even at just 19 grams (although my scales registered it at 20g, so I’ll take the win!) I bought it with a purpose (to offset some telescoping blinds!) but it’s a great little gift or souvenir.

belle qualité beau polissage pas terni du tout.
belle qualité beau polissage pas terni du tout....Vraiment cher mais j'imagine que c'est le prix...qui est exagéré au depart..

Surprisingly heavy
There are only about 98 natural elements in the periodic table, out of 118 known elements deemed possible in our entire Universe right now. (Extras over naturals are lab-made for, usually, just instants of time). Today, we can buy standard reference cubes (one cc) online, out of about twenty mainly transition metals. Materials Science is and will only get a lot bigger in our near future world. For our kids to know or develop special alloys, we begin with pure elements. It's just a familiarity thing. Comedy: I was fifteen years of age before I saw my first dog!
