Tough power tool
Superb power tool. Iโve used for a couple months now and it is easy to start, works flawlessly and cuts tough weeds easily. Ensure you use good quality string, the correct size and that your fuel mixture is correct and youโll be pleased with the result.

A must have tool. Great!
I have a Troy-Bilt TrimmerPlus that I purchased over 15 years ago. Over time I've added 4 interchangeable components making this a multiple use tool at a fraction of the cost of buying those tools separately. My unit has started to have carburetor issues. So I bought this unit to both add a curved trimmer and replace my power unit while I get the carburetor straightened out. This unit is of even better quality than my 15 year old unit and even more powerful than it was when new. I am extremely pleased with it. I recommend this unit and the available interchangeable components. You won't regret buying them.

Just right
Came with loads of paperwork but it was easy to put the 3 or 4 pieces together. Fired right up a did the job. This thing is a bit heavy as far as trimmers go. A shoulder strap would be nice.

A good running weed eater
This weed eater is a design that has been used for quite some time. I bought it to replace a Craftsman weed eater of the same design that is 28 years old that just had all it can take. I actually can use parts from the old one to keep this one running for a while. A descent price too.

Great replacement
Amazing when the tool starts easily, my last toro 20 years old, couldnโt get a replacement carburetor, by the time I wouldโve gotten a new part that may fit and labor it was cheaper to buy a brand new unit.

Wonโt last you
A little over a year later and it wonโt run. I wanted something robust and had a Troy-bilt in the past that lasted a long time. This one is already not running and has been trouble from the start. I think theyโre nowhere near as good as they used to be. Iโll just buy some cheap-o one if I only want year to replace it. And it wonโt be worth it to take it apart every couple of months clean it all out just so it runs OK for a month or two. Junk.

Not a good purchase.
Im not thrilled with this trimmer but it does do the job. Positive: It starts reliably so far. It is powerful enough for typical yard work. Operation and instructions are simple to follow. It is competitively priced. It is gas powered so for my long yard (200') I am not limited by an electric source. Negatives: The screws on the shaft and handle are very weak. Will strip easily if over tightened. The star nut on the shaft for loosening the clamp to switch to edging or trimming stripped during the first use. The shaft does loosen and flex around during operation, forces you to stop and tighten. The trigger is too flimsy and will probably break off at some point soon. The handle spins and needs to be tightened too often. No shoulder strap included. The biggest problems are the cheap nut/bolts on the shaft and poor clamp system to hold the two part shaft firm. The diameter and quality of the nuts are awful. I stripped the star nut on the shaft the very first use. I had to go to a local hardware store to buy a wing nut and bolt to replace it. That being the case I find it difficult to tighten the clamp with my fingers during use. So switching from edging to trimming is very limited. The clamp itself is only about 4 inches long and is not adequate to hold the two shaft pieces considering the vibration of the machine. The nuts come loose and then the shaft starts to rotate in the clamp. I deal with it and do the job anyway. Looking at other brands I find similar designs so it may be something that has to be accepted. I wouldn't buy this trimmer again. If I get 3 seasons out of it I will be relieved.
