No. It’s encrypted. It cannot be connected to a phone.

Is the camera battery powered as well?

I hope I’m answering your question correctly, but the camera charges and then you just unplug it and use it. I personally love mine and feel like the battery holds charge a long time. It also has really good range for moving around the house and things.
