Do these have the lead weight in them? Aka rattlers.

No it is very light. They're designed to mimic lifelike movement without the extra weight but if you need to you can add a leader

What colors have you found most effective in trolling for rainbow trout?

I don't fish for rainbow trout but have found silver\black & gold\black effective on bass, walleye, etc.

How long is this lure ?

approximately 1.5 inches. Great universal lure. I would go to an f11 for night time walleyes, but this lure for a bottom bouncing rig.

What is the next larger size in inches of length?

Not sure which Rapala he refers to. Floating Rapalas range in length from 1.5" to 7". I prefer the 3.5" and the 4.375" ones in Black and Silver or Black & Gold.
