We place the traps along baseboards and have found the work well. We mark the date we place them and then have moved them around if they do not catch for a while. Some places are much more likely to result in catches than others, i.e. some did not catch for weeks/months whereas others caught in days. If yours are not catching silverfish, try another spot.

See below the way I choose the star rating. These traps seem to only trap those silverfish, that decide to venture in the box. It does not attract them or motivate them to kill themselves. I placed 4 of them in places where I found silverfish before: in the washer/dryer room, under my bookshelf, in the bathroom cabinet, and the attic. I caught ONE so far in the 2 month I put the traps out. In the future I would look for something that actively attracts them and then captures them. This item works well. Would recommend. Catches whatever crawls on it.
