the engine can breath clean air
I installed the FRAM Extra Guard CA11945 air filter on my 2016 Honda CR-V, and overall I’m very pleased with its performance and value. The filter fit perfectly into the air box — no forcing or modification needed — and installation only took about 5 minutes, just as advertised. Once installed, I noticed the engine felt clean and responsive. The airflow seems smooth, and I like that this filter is designed to block harmful contaminants (dust, dirt, pollen) before they reach the engine — a critical first line of defense to help prevent engine wear. Over the first few hundred miles, there were no strange sounds, hesitations, or dips in power, which suggests the filtration media is doing its job without choking airflow. For the money, this filter offers good bang for your buck. It’s significantly cheaper than many OEM or premium alternatives, yet provides reliable protection for up to 12,000 miles (or 12 months) per manufacturer guidance.

This fit my wife's 2016 Honda CR-V just fine. Easily fit and had no issues with the installation. Time will tell how long it lasts but so far, so good.

SAVE $$ and replace your own!
Every time we took our CRV for an oil change or tire rotation, the dealer tried to sell us new filters. We FINALLY looked on YouTube and found how simple it is to change the engine AND cabin filters ourselves. Last oil change the service guy said, "your filters look pretty good so don't need replaced yet." Yes, we know.....CHA CHING.
