The Tintin Collection

Awesome book, good quality paper and print worth every penny. It was my bucket list to have the full collection of Tintin but it was always very costly, this was very cheap for the price and quality.

Received in great condition.

The outer box was worn out on the top and bottom sadly but the books itself were in great condition. 4.5 stars but since amazon lets you give only 4 stars :P

Although the book was magnificent, the fond is just a little smaller but readable You should also purchase,it is value for money

Genuine pack and books. Recieved in mint condition. The delivery packaging was very good. Thanks to u-read store for providing me the books in good condition. My earlier purchase experience of Calvin and Hobbes with the seller was disappointing due to bad delivery packaging and books condition. This time it was perfect. I am adding some pictures instead of narrating what a gem this is from my childhood and many more years to come. This compact edition illustrations will not be as livid as the bigger sized comics . But these are handy collections and lesser chances of missing one or two booklets . I have attached some pics for comparison. The compact edition doesn't include Lake of sharks and tintin in Congo.

So I wanted to especially write the review as there are several negative remarks because of which I was sceptical initially. But luckily for me, my seller delivered an undamaged box, with all titles intact. Now coming to the books themselves, the print quality is great, pages nice and glossy, the book size comfortable to hold as you lie and read, of course handy for travel too. For me, the font size was also totally fine. I had read individual Tintin books over the years in the bigger format, but I didn't find the experience diminished in any way on reading the compact version. And guys the first story WAS ORIGINALLY PUBLISHED in black and white. We have to then back and blame Herge for it probably, so please don't make b/w an issue. Overall, a fantastic collection for Tintin fans!

Book set is delivered without any damages.

Print quality is very poor. Highly disappointing. The joy of reading is simply not there. Paper is thick and glossy but the colors are too saturated and looks like they printed a scanned copy of the original. Not at all a good experience for the reader. Images are too jarring to look at and there's no details around the edges. Images are too fuzzy. The speech balloon font is also different from the original. The font weight is too thin and size is too small for a comfortable read. It's better to spend the extra bucks for the original size print.

Excelente escala y a precio accesible

It was very good. I’m very happy with the purchase. It came in very good condition too.

At the time of purchase I felt it was a good deal (103 CAD) considering we were occasionally purchasing the large single story versions at chapters for my sons. These are much smaller and I personally prefer the larger format but my son luvs these as he can take up to 3 stories per volume on a car trip. As it was an Xmas gift for him and he’s is happy 5 stars. The only downside to this purchase was Amazon’s questionable discretion to use Canada Post during and immediately after the strike with the backlog caused prior to Xmas. This significantly delayed delivery. Amazon should be refunding the Prime fees to all those affected!!!

These are very good comics.
