Anthology Collection (2025 Edition): 8CD Boxset

This collection without question is a must have for all Beatle fans! The packaging and the remastering are simply amazing! It is a treasure trove of wonderful demos and outtakes. It is one of the best gifts I have ever given myself. The clarity of the sound of this collection is a joy to experience. The wonderful music and humor of the Beatles emanate throughout this box set. Highly recommend this collection!

Great new packaging in a sturdy box for the four volumes of the anthology. Having bought the original Three volume six CD collection in Fat Boy Jewel cases back in the mid-90s I was happy to see that the packaging for this new collection was packaged in a cardboard box to avoid getting beat up during shipping. The song selection on Anthology 4 is a bit hit and miss as there are some instrumentals and of course a lot of the tracks are repeated from the deluxe editions of the later albums which of course is a lifelong fan I bought when they came out. Still it's great to hear new outtakes and even if you buy only volume four and keep your original of the first three I still say it's a bargain because I remember back in the day spending 30 or $40 on a single CD of a bootleg which may have had a couple of really good quality outtake or unreleased song tracks on there. Well let's hope that next year after 3 years of waiting we will get the Rubber Sole deluxe edition that we have all been waiting for. I enjoy all the remixes as I still have the originals to listen to as well. There are always interesting outtakes and alternate versions and the high quality hardback books are always very enjoyable to read the details about the recording sessions. Keep them coming Apple and I will continue buying them. Hopefully they will release a deluxe edition of each album, although perhaps Magical Mystery Tour and Yellow Submarine will be combined into one since most of the sessions took place around the same time.

I had never realized that the recordings of the songs on the Anthology albums were different takes from the ones released to the public originally. That's why I never bought Anthology when it came out, thinking that I already had all of their recordings. But recently I was reading about Anthology in a book about the Beatles recordings and, discovering this, I decided to purchase the 4-disc set. And I'm so glad I did! Listening to different versions of Beatle songs, reawakens memories and lets you hear their melodies in new ways. Wonderful experience!

This Beatles collection is the most complete version of Anthologies as it does includes Anthology 4, a must have for any Beatles fan, box set arrived quickly and in perfect condition.

This follow up of the Anthology 1, 2 and 3 has been extensively reviewed on YouTube and Sirius XM radio since early July. Many of the reviewers describe it as a “disappointment “ or “not worth purchasing.” These assessments are unfair and incorrect. The songs are extremely good and can be listened to in any setting. The listener does not have to have a special interest in The Beatles to enjoy this album. There are several tracks that are instrumentals and sound great. The only problem is that much of it was played on satellite radio prior to its release. It would have been even better had the album been under lockdown prior to its release.

Fantastic recordings, beautifully pressed and something I listen to all the time

I’m still digesting the remastered content from 1-3 so I’ll just give my 2¢ worth on the Anthology 4 albums. I think the talk of being overproduced is off base. It’s not overproduced, it’s clean and wonderful, sounding like you are sitting there witnessing it live. So why take it down a star? The album package is weak for something this pricey. The liner notes are smaller than what was included on the CDs since they chose not to enclose a booklet, but instead just slapped everything on as liner notes! Also, each set is three albums in a tri-fold, and when returning the albums you have to slide them in and then pull them back out or they travel into the fold itself, screwing closing things up.

Não peguei as edições de 1995, mas com um quarto volume, Som remasterizado e o preço de 430 promocao relâmpago da Amazon foi irresistível. O som remasterizado e perfeito, versões acústicas primorosas que eu só Ouvia pela internet, ou mp3, e acabava não dando uma atenção devida, hoje ouço e vejo o tempo que perdi, resta correr atrás e ouvir inúmeras veses.

Reconozco no ser ecuánime, soy fan de The Beatles desde los 15 años, ya tenía la anterior Anthology, por eso puedo decir como coleccionista que si, se nota la remasterizacióm. Y en cuanto al cuarto y novedad de esta entrega, como siempre hay cosas interesantes, y otras que ya teniamos de anteriores entregas de sus respectivas albums.

Excellent investissement pour tous les fans! Le prix est tout à fait adéquat.
