Fascinating truths about our world and the mysteries of quantum (un)reality
From a lay reader’s perspective, although fascinating in content, this book could have been written better. Frequent digressions into the history of some development or background of some physicist or some other trivial chronological curiosity at crucial junctures, just when you’re beginning to understand a concept (a feeling that doesn’t come too often in this book anyway), sort of spoil the flow. It’s like the author is more keen to explain the development of physics rather than the physics itself. For large parts of the book, it feels like you’re swimming in a pool of gelatin - unable to breathe, unable to move your arms and legs, and in fact, unable to even tell which way is up - struggling to come up just for a breath of air… and feeling very, very stupid before diving back again! But all said, it is still a wonderful book - explaining the many wonders of quantum physics, the surreal nature of the problem of Schrödinger’s cat, the quantum nature of the game of Twenty Questions, multiverses, and a lot more. Inwardly, you may feel stupid after reading it, but outwardly you can pretend to be very wise!

"Book Brings Prosperity"
This is One of the best books I've Read so Far!!. As a Curious Person, I loved this Book More than I Love Anything else (I said Anything, Not anyone) . Surely, John Gribbin is One of the best Writers Ever!!. In summary, I Would Strongly Recommend this Book to you. (Only if You Love Physics, and REALITY!!)

A useful starting point for a deep dive into this crazy thing called the quantum theory
I had been waiting a while to get started with this one. Having read up earlier on the other pillar of modern physics, the relativity theory and the physics of the very big , it was time to move on to the quantum theory and the physics of the very small. Gribbin takes you on a journey starting with the discovery of the first atomic theories, the first subatomic particles, and ending with the modern day marvels of MWI and super symmetry, with a description of how each new discovery led to more questions and more discoveries. If one has an interest in physics which has been sustained after high school, one might pick this book up and go through it without distractions. Overall not the most straightforward, by which I mean that a level of prior training is required to begin to comprehend a few of the explanations . But then, as has been repeatedly mentioned by many others, quantum theory is like that, super incomprehensible at the beginning to even the people who developed it.

Excellent product ✅
I'd ordered this book and was a bit worried about whether the book will come in a good condition or not. But as I've recieved it. I'm totally satisfied with the Quality packaging and Condition as well.

good read
Good coverage of key topics of quantum computing. The concept of many-worlds interpretation (MWI) is quite fascinating. Good book for anyone interested in knowing various aspects related to quantum computing.

Very well written and very informative
I like it very much and suggest it for the sci ence enthusiasts . This book has some discontinuity but it is very exciting to read it.

This is a fantastic book if one is just attempting, for the first time, to come to terms with the puzzling yet fascinating world of quantum theory. What makes it different from most other books I read on the subject is the way in which Gribbin tries to explain one phenomenon that, quite often, can be felt as unexplainable. At times, it can still feel overwhelming to those averse to maths, but you can jump over those moments as they will not necessarily be essential for what the book does: if you're not very familiar with the subject, In Search of Schrodinger's Cat will launch you into a magical tale that is a part of our reality as much as anything else, even if you don't actually experience it on a daily basis. And by doing that, it might ultimately also reshape your own view of the world and yourself. Highly recommended.

Easy to understand, easily changes ones perspective of the world.

Texto claro e acessível para se compreender um pouco da historia e do caminho da mecânica quântica. Não muito simples de ler, até porque é um texto sério, que não simplifica o que não é simplificável.

If you’re as interested in Quantum Physics then this should be a must at the start if your graduate studies. You’ll find it surprisingly useful when you’re finally in class studying all the mathematics associated. Sometimes popular science tends to help students more than anything else.
