Can it be used with a bread machine?  Specifically Jojirushi?

Yes. But you have to proof the yeast first with 1 tsp of sugar and 1 cup of warm  water between 90-110 degrees depending the amount of water the recipe calls for. Mix the yeast and sugar in warm water and let it set for approximately 10 minutes.  Then pour the mixture in the bottom of your pan together with other liquids set on room temperature. Add the remaining ingredients then you're set to go. Believe me, I used it once directly on top of the flour as per the instruction in the recipe and my bread didn't rise. Save you the trouble and the waste and the time

Is the package resealable? Or do you need a container to put it in?

You need a glass jar and keep it in the fridge.  Mine lasted 2 years and ws as active at the end of that time asw it was when first opened.

What is the difference between this and the Red one?

The gold one is suited for sweet dough recipes, and the red one is more of a all purpose yeast for pizza, bread, etc

Does it come with small packages inside? can i use it for steam chinese bun

No, it does not have small packets inside.  I keep the package in a zip lock plastic bag.  I am very careful closing the package tight.  I would not hesitate to use this yeast on steam buns. I use it for French baguettes and pizza dough.  My Yeast has lasted in the freezer for 3-years before I replaced it.  My current supply is a year old and still working very well.  Good luck!
