This is a heavy duty, well-constructed tool. I tackled a patch of dying wildflowers, herb robert, grasses and clover with this and the 100 sq ft plot was clean in an hour. The pronged end pulls up the crowns of the plants as you pull toward you and then the hoe end smooths the soil and gathers all the pulled up plant material in a pile. I will probably still need to hand weed small areas where there are desired plants surrounded by grasses, or groundcover with weeds popping through. But for areas of at least a square foot of weeds, this works beautifully. Great price given the sturdy construction.

Was a defective piece. One of the plastic connections was cracked. So returned it back.

I have a similar tool, but that one has teeth that don't always grab the week at the root, it slips through the teeth. This one grabs much better. The length of the tool is long enough that I don't have to bend too much and the handle seems to be strong and is a good weight, not flimsy.
