Curled on one end that I cannot get flat

It is a solid mat overall but man it REALLY smells. This is currently sitting outside until I can get the smell to go away as it was overwhelming in the house and garage. It has been outside for a few days and still smells. Hoping it goes away or not sure how much use I can get out of it. Overall the mat seems okay for it's intended use. We got this to replace a similar one we have. Compared to the other one we have the mat is a little lighter weight on the underlying material and the nubs are larger and softer. So it feels better on bare feet but I will be curious on how it does handling the dirt and longevity with the materials. Overall it seems like a decent mat. It is heavy enough that it will stay put when in use and won't move around. The size was exactly as advertised/ordered so no issues there. It is nice to walk on and seems to do the trick overall for cleaning off shoes/feet. I will be curious how it holds up as it does seem to be glued/heat pressed together from the base mat to the textured top part, compared to my old one which we have had for 7 years with no issues and seems more attached so time will tell here. Largest complaint is the smell. It is ALOT and is not fading yet. We can only use outdoors in a very open space until it goes away.
