Outstanding Value
I have been running the ThermoQuiet pads on both of my vehicles and now my sister's two SUV's as well. From a small Honda Civic to a large Cadillac Escalade, these pads are fantastic. There is no difference in feel compared to the expensive factory pads. Stopping distance is reliable and with eight sets installed to date, zero noise. I was skeptical of the design where the noise insulators were integral to the pad. Well, whatever Wagner does, it works. Every set I've purchased so far has come with new pad guides for the caliper brackets. The old ones pop right off and the new ones clip on in seconds. This was nice to see as my old guides had gotten pretty rough after 200,000 miles in salty northeast winters. Pad life has been average to better than average. Even if you beat the crap out of these, the price on Amazon can't be beat for what you get. One could replace the pads almost three times for the price of one set at the dealer. If you aren't looking for ultra high performance but want a pad that is better than a questionable $15 set, these are the way to go.

I wish I had know about getting parts here sooner.
This was the first time I've used Amazon for car parts. I have to say it was an exceptional buy. Brake pads are normally a "get what you pay for" kind of thing. If you buy the premium pad you get better brake performance (just in my own experience) The cheap pads (around twenty) are fine for a cheap small car that doesn't get a lot of brake use (I'm in the low country so you there isn't much brake use like you get in the mountains). They cheap pads may not last as long and may squeal a bit too, but they are cheap. The platinum or Gold pads are a bit better in the braking function, they wear a bit longer and they won't normally squeal, but they are twice as much or more. Then I found these on Amazon. Same high dollar/high quality pads I can get at the local stores for about sixty, but I found them for thirty here on Amazon. The brake pads themselves are good quality, ceramic pads. I've had no brake fade and there has been no issues with heat warping the calipers. Braking has been linear and uneventful as it should be. I have had no squeal at all, but I did make sure the caliper was moving freely, all grease points were checked and clean, and the rotors were turned. I don't do much pulling these days, but a 3K lbs trailer load, gave me no trouble at all. I'd recommend these for your Silverado 1500.

Right part for the right job!
I purchased these for my 07 Avalanche and they seem to be working great! The set came with the replacement brackets and it all fit perfectly into the caliper. I installed new rotors at the same time and have had no noise and braking is smooth and consistent. These were priced about $15 cheaper than the brick and mortar store too so a great deal if you have the time to order ahead of the project.

ThermoQuiet ceramics are great
I was very pleased with these ceramic pads for my 2007 Yukon. While ceramics do not stop as quickly as a semi-metallic they are very quiet and are not subject to high-speed fading, which on a heavy vehicle like a Yukon is a big plus. The ThermoQuiets were very well made, I especially like the leading and trailing edge beveling - haven't seen anyone else do that. I did have my rotors turned before installing these, which I would recommend to always be done.

Wagner - the brand you can trust
I upgraded the front brakes on my 2002 Chevrolet Avalanche. While many different brands of brake pads are available, I chose Wagner because of past experiences with their products.

Other than that the pads work just fine and last good with moderate brake dust
As usual when I buy pads I have to grind down the metal base plate tabs so the pads fit in the caliper and are free to slide without binding. My guess is they are cheap foreign made parts using worn dies to stamp the metal base plates. It doesn't matter if I get pads at a parts store or online - same thing for almost every car every time.....that's why I buy on-line to get the cheapest price. Other than that the pads work just fine and last good with moderate brake dust. No squeaking as long as you bed the brakes after installation.
