TURBO EXPRESS

I can remember walking into Toys R Us back when I was a kid with money in hand ready to buy the awesome machine. I had saved up all summer for a TurboExpress. When I got the the cosole section of the store there she was, all pretty sitting under the lights and behind the glass calling my name. Then my father decided to talk me out of buy the handheld. He said " Just think of what you could do with that money instead". Well, I ended up walking away with my $300.00. Twenty some odd years later here I am buying the one console I had to have but never did. Very pleased that I finally own an Express. TurboGrafx 16 was ahead of the time and it's too bad they never got the following they should have. Do yourself a favor. If you find one of these at a good price, grab it. You won't regret it!!!!!!!!

because it doesnt even work and i tried several games just like waching an analog television im forever waiting for it to show a signal i only keep it so i can try and find a place that can fix it

If you are an avid video game/video console/handheld collector......Why think twice about owning this item ? Back in the 1990's this item cost $300+ new. PC Engine GT is the Japanese counterpart. Obviously the Japanese how such a wider variety of games in their library. It has become harder & harder to find this handheld so its a no brain investment because you will have enjoyment for hours & hours. The HU CARD games are so easy to store. There are over 100 American HU CARDS which were made for the Turbo Express. Also owning a Turbografx 16 or Turbo duo is worth the investment so you can play all your games on your TV...............W O W !

I bought one of these from an Amazon Seller that was selling one with a broken speaker. The headphone jack worked but the speaker was not. I replaced the capacitors in the unit and brought it back to life. Some general soldering was required to do this. Putting together a few AM/FM radio kits back in college brought the whole experience back to me and after a few hours I had a nice working unit. The speaker on this unit is "loud" and I do mean loud. One time I thought my neighbors would get upset at me playing this late a night as I live in an apartment complex. No seriously grab some headphones and enjoy the unit just as much without bothering others around you. I am starting to get into retro gaming collecting and this is going to be an item that I will keep for a long time. A big thank you to the Amazon marketplace sellers as I was able to get this with a good deal rather than fighting my way on Ebay.

This is one of the best hand held games I have ever owned...
