Barefoot Contessa Foolproof: Recipes You Can Trust

Lovely pictures and recipes. If you follow her recipes to the letter they definitely work out good. Well presented book and would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys cooking. Nothing too complicated. Only one fault, it would be helpful if measurements were also in pounds/ounces and grams. What weight is a stick of butter or 1/16 of a cup? Having to look these things up is a bit of a bother and so easily remedied.

This has been bought as a present for someone that watched Barefoot Contessa regularly on the TV, it has some great recipes and its laid out well. It was a bit of a pantomine with the order as it got lost in the post before turning up the same day as the re-order but praise should be given to Amazon customer services who handled the delivery problems efficiently

I love Ina. I have watched her shows, used her recipes, referred to her books when I have wanted clarification on meal plans in particular and have never been dissapointed. This book has Ina's trademark no nonsense approach to meal planning including drinks, which are my weak point, as I never know what to offer as an alternative to wine.

Another beautiful book from Ina...her books are always a delight to read and cook from. One tip...when you scroll down after clicking on the book note there is another Ina "foolproof" at a far cheaper price. I have flagged this up to Amazon and hope they will rectify the situation.... A great book, buy it and you will enjoy!

I love Ina and her style of cooking. Really relaxed and easy recipes. There's great pictures as well as handy hints and little stories attached to dishes. Overall, another easy to follow book.

I love Ina and her cookbooks! I bought this as a secondhand buy, was advertised as being ‘Used - Very Good’ but upon receiving it I would of said more just ‘Used - Good’ there are quite a few marks through out the book and library stamps. Since this was bought for me I’m happy to live with it but think paying just over £10 (when it came with a £3.99 price sticker attached) could of been better value. 4 stars due to condition.

Great recipes and ingredients that are easy to find. Ina Garten cookbooks have the easiest and best recipes. Only thing I'd like to see is maybe the recipe amounts translated into something that UK/Ireland can follow more readily as Ina refers to sticks of butter etc.

I'm a manic cook possessed of over 300 cookery books but I still buy IG's books. She sits well next to Elizabeth David on my shelves although she is a completely different cook and writer. I'm a British cook and some American cookery books sold on the British market are un-necessarily complicated but in general, IG's books are easy to follow. Some ingredients are unusual and some are the same but have different names (eg coriander and cilantro) but, as Corporal Jones would say "Don't panic!" - you CAN cope!

I mean its a Barefoot Contessa cookbook. Beautiful pictures and the best recipes. Highly recommend

Avendo un amica appassionata di Barefoot Contessa, ho deciso di comprare il suo ultimo libro. Sinceramente potevo risparmiarmi questa spesa. Il libro in se è bello per quanto riguarda le foto, i suggerimenti su come organizzarsi quando vengono ospiti, le regole per congelare, ma le ricette non sono niente di particolare, alcune di sapore proprio strano e spesso non fattibili (aragosta, astice... insomma in tempi di crisi preferisco ingredienti non troppo costosi). Non comprerei questo libro.

sus recetas salen muy bien, pocas veces decepcionan, y siempre me inspiran. honestamente cualquiera de sus libros vale la pena.
