Great quality product; only one ingredient!

I've tried TONS of powdered collagen & I haven't been happy. The cow & chicken based collagen powders all have a mild (sometimes strong!) unpleasant taste. The marine based ones usually have a subtle fishy taste. To my surprise I couldn't detect any taste at all let alone the normal fishy taste (albeit I always add a very small amount of creamer to my coffee). ***Even MORE surprising & amazing is that this NorCal collagen can be used in TEA! Most collagen powders are downright nasty tasting & intolerable in tea. Not NorCal collagen. Very ironic & funny since the NorCal instructions say use in coffee, while the others say use in coffee or tea (but those collagen powders taste horrible in tea!). I haven't tried NorCal collagen in anything cold so I can't comment on it, but it's definitely tasteless in coffee or tea. This collagen powder dissolves nicely (sometimes a couple of small clumps remain after stirring that you can just smoosh). Dissolves quicker & better than all the brands I've tried (and that's saying something!. NorCal simply works great! My nails & hair are growing like mad & is stronger than ever. Thinning hair is regrowing. I don't know why or where all the negative reviews on here came from. Did some receive a bad batch? Maybe NorCal has since made changes because my experience with their product is excellent & I highly recommend it. I'm glad I ignored the negative reviews & gave it a try (you should too)

This stuff easily and completely dissolves and no taste whatsoever. I mix it up with some other stuff in cold water. I was a little concerned that the cost was a little higher than some other options, but given the above, it works for me and not switching. Whether I'm getting the benefit I want from the collagen is another story and too soon to tell. And I suspect this would be the same regardless of the product. Have put it on subscription so I'm in for the longer haul.

I mainly give such a high review because of the company. I emailed asking about the metals (this is actually common in collagen supplements!! I did extensive research before buying) and they were so receptive to my concerns. They sent me the results of metal testing from an independent 3rd party consultant- no questions asked! The transparency and 3rd party testing meant a lot to me. This product blends well into my morning cup of coffee. HOWEVER, I will say that the taste is not subtle to me. For context, I am a supertaster, so perhaps the other reviewers are honest but just don’t notice like I do. The coffee largely masks it, but it is a fishy taste. If you believe you would be sensitive to this taste, I would not recommend a marine collagen, regardless of brand.

I’ve been using this collagen for well over a year. I’ve tried other brands but this is the only one I’ve found to be totally tasteless in both tea and coffee. My hair and nails have been much stronger than I started using it and I think my skin looks better. I also use the pouch packets when I’m traveling which is really convenient. It is rather expensive but I think it’s worth it and I far prefer marine collagen to bovine which has who only knows what in it.

The company's description of this product being odorless and tasteless is WRONG. Just as soon as you open the bag you can smell that fishy odor. Bewarned. This product is not returnable.

Excellent product... mixes well with smoothies or coffee... no taste. I’ve been using it in hot fluids and it doesn’t turn into a jello like substance like an article on the news has been quoting...maybe the news has been talking about bovine collagen.. joints have been feeling much better and my hair has more life to it.. I wish I could say my finger arthritis is better but I haven’t felt a change there..I have been using this everyday for 5 months.

I would give it 5 stars if it wasn’t for the taste. It leaves everything smelling and tasting fishy.
